Very nice inn on small island. We had room overlooking Casco Bay with Portland in background. Great island to ride bikes or rent golf cart. It was very busy during weekend because lots of day trippers.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Inn! Clean, quiet, very friendly people from Jason to the gentleman doing some work on the inn. Took time to visit. I would have enjoyed my stay more if the restaurant would have been open during our stay. Great place! Definitely worth a visit.

Property was really pretty and room was very nice. We wish we had known that everything was shut down. We arrived at @ 6, and there were no places to eat. We had no knowledge the off-season had started

This was one of our favorite properties on our New England trip. The room was beautiful and cozy with a pull out bed for my mom. Unfortunately, getting to the property was a disaster. We had no idea everything closed so early in New England during the fall and winter seasons. Before booking, Expedia did not mention needing to take a ferry to the island where the property is located. I found that out on the hotel’s actual website. We booked back at the end of august and had looked up ferry information then, and then forgot when we actually went to Maine two months later. Someone at the property had messaged us to see if we would be checking in before 8pm that night which was nice of them and they had told us that they think the last car ferry ride was at 7:30 so we booked it to go to the ferry. It was 6 pm for reference, and had just finished dinner. It had turned out that the last ferry was at 5:30 pm. So my husband dropped my mom and I off with all of our luggage and it took him more than an hour to find an overnight parking garage. It was a mess as most overnight parking garages were full and far away. It was our fault I guess for not looking into the ferry times more in depth but I think it would be helpful if the hotel property sent like an email reminder beforehand. We did not get to enjoy the island or the property to its full potential, but we definitely want to come back and stay at Peaks Inn! I’m sure it would have been even better had things gone better!

Wonderful hotel and restaurant facilities—clean, comfortable, spacious room (Chabegue) with comfy air conditioning and bedding. Room is well appointed (e.g., large living area, cathedral ceiling with fire place and stocked refrigerator too!). The view from the room is spectacular and includes a balcony—sunset view is breathtaking! We will be back and highly recommend. The staff are super friendly and accommodating—service is 5 Star. Restaurant is top notch and breakfast was excellent!

very nice but I think the front entrance for greeting people needs to flow and look better.

The fireplace was out of order, which wasn’t a big deal but I would have expected a discount on the rate of the room. The toilet seat had no lid and while taking a bath I had a perfect angle into the toilet bowl which didn’t look so clean and I ended up having to put a towel over the toilet so I didn’t have to see the dirty toilet.

Somehow our reservation through Expedia was not communicated to them, but they were very accommodating and kind about the confusion. This was on top of dealing with a water main break between islands (not their issue-not islands were on boil before use status). They provided us with bottled water and offered a generous rate on a substitute room as ours had been rented to another guest. On top of fantastic service, the rooms are cozy and beautiful, and most offer breathtaking views of the sunset over the bay. We will definitely return to Inn on Peaks Island!

Beautiful Inn overlooking the harbor. Cottage style furniture, huge room with fireplace, couch, daybed and queen bed. Sliders to outside space with tiny uncomfortable seating. This is a small island with gorgeous views however you wouldn’t know it from inside. TV didn’t work and left 3 messages to tell front desk (this is manned intermittently by very busy workers). Nice guy came and figured it all out. The outside space was so sad. We were perched above a roof top with lattice work fence. Only other outside seating was a pretty couch area on the porch. Unfortunately this was always surrounded by the unfortunate garbage or old fish smells. It was Sunday, I guess island garbage day is Monday? The real downfall here is they don’t touch your room. We’re not slobs however for nearly $700 for 2 nights you would expect some neatening up, making the bed, perhaps fresh towels?Pleasant but with a little TLC (someone should be in charge) everything could be top notch! Best of luck, since you’re the only Inn on the Island.

Very nice stay at the Inn on Peaks Island. The island is easily accessible by an affordable ($7.50) ferry from downtown Portland, and the Inn is a short walk from the ferry stop. There are great views of Portland and very comfortable rooms at the Inn.

Nice location close to the ferry. Room was clean and decorated nicely.

No where on the website of the Inn, or Hotels.com did it say that this establishment was on an island only accessible by ferry or boat. Also, we paid a higher price to get a room with a partial Oceanview… our room overlooked the backyards of other houses, no ocean in sight.

Loved the INN & PEAKS ISLAND...
The ferry starts your trip on the right foot, smooth ride with Fantastic Views.
A quick 5 min walk and you are at the INN.
The room was HUUUUGE, and could have easily slept 8 with room to spare.
Our room was on the 2nd floor front, and had a balcony/patio w/2 Adirondack Chairs and a great view of Portland & Casco Bay.
The best part of our view was it allows you to see all the people coming & going to & from the ferry. The INN is a prefect spot for people watching as it 'IS' the center of the business district.
While sitting on the balcony/patio the orchestra of movement to & from the ferry is actually intriguing to see real time. It reminds me of the scene in JAWS where the ferry disembarks at Amity Island aka MV, and all the directions the people take.
Although we did not eat at the INN, we did sample a few Libations, and the drinks aren't skimpy.
The INN is the perfect getaway too relax and enjoy yourself: Quiet & Safe.
For me the best part of my INN experience was CHECK IN. The same person who will host you to your seat in the restaurant, take your order and cash you out, is the same person who checked us in. I loved this, and was the best way too start our stay.
PS: This is a small island when the person who served you dinner last night at 1 restaurant is the same person who's cooking you breakfast at another. Part of the charm of Peaks Island... Scott

Lovely place, very nice accommodating staff, and all in all a wonderful stay. We were going up to a family get together in Georgetown - where my cousin and his partner bought a beautiful marina - Robinhood Marine Center - and only had one night in or near Portland, but this was a lovely - "off the beaten track" - sort of find! Loved it!

This is nice hotel but not convenient to go to Portland. We had to take the ferry the first night and brought the car with us because we had our luggage and the cost of the ferry for the car was $90! What a rip off! The ferry schedule didn't run as often as we thought it should. The hotel staff wasn't that friendly. The day bed had stains and sand all over it! There were very few restaurants that were good to choose from so we had to go into Portland. Next time we go to Maine, we will just stay downtown.
