I was looking for a hotel that was uniquely French and not a corporate American chain.i got a bit more than I planned for!
It’s a cozy, unique place with a lot of charm and character. It has a great location near several metro stations that makes traveling around the city very easy. We stayed on the top floor which had roof slants on the sides of the window. At 6’4 I found this limiting and my 5’6 girlfriend hit head on them twice. Whether you like these or not is up to you. The room was also very quiet and we rarely heard anything from outside of it. We were there during a freak heatwave and the A/C barely helped.
The front desk only ever has 1 employee and if he’s occupied by another guest you have to wait. I had an issue with the door lock and had to ask 4 times before he’d actually help.
I also have to mention the elevator. It is tiny! It can barely fit two people and is a nightmare to transport luggage in. One woman sent her bags down on their own and ran down the stairs to retrieve them.
Overall, I’d give it 7 out of 10. It’s got a great location, is clean, and has a lot of character. But that character comes with some challenges.

The staff are kind and respond promptly to any requests.
The location is excellent for shopping, sightseeing, and accessing both metro lines and long-distance trains.
Breakfast is simple but enjoyable, and coffee machines are available 24 hours a day. The building is old, as is common in Paris, but the elevators function well.
The rooms are uniquely decorated with plenty of chairs, pillows, and artwork, which gives them a cozy and distinctive atmosphere. I especially appreciated the Fragonard wet napkins provided as an amenity.
