The room was great. The bathroom was great except there was no hair conditioner. The floor however did not appear to have been cleaned. The carpet had stuff on it (including someone’s old contact lens!) and the floor was sticky on parts. The kitchenette was stocked but we didn’t really need that since we ate out every meal. Overall good stay.

Golden Star Motel is well located near the Riccarton Mall. The kitchen is well set up to self cater with everything you need but the motel is also is close to many restaurants.
The shower was great and the bed was comfortable.
The carpark is a little tight for large vehicles but doable.
