The Abbey is the only available motel/cottage accommodation on Raymond Island. It is inn a unique location amongst pleasant bush environment and close to the Koala habitat. There is no food or eating places on the island but the ferry service to and from Paynesville which excellent restaurants and cafes and IGa. The Abbey has charm and pleasant seclusion at a very reasonable price. There is tea and coffee and a fridge and microwave. It can be cold in Winter but has a heater. More blankets would be welcome. The bathroom and toilet has a shower and is good. There are warnings about a slippery floor but it needs attention. I do recommend staying on the island for a get away experience and easy access to the Koala Trail. I am glad that we chose The Abbey.

The acommodation was cute. TV was good which helped us to enjoy the night more.

A very high standard room in a lovely setting. We had problems communicating and received no check in instructions but this was rectified by a member of staff coming in to sort out. Kangaroos walked past the window and koalas, echidnas and exotic birds were nearby. There was also no wifi near the rooms, just by reception. However it was a very pleasant stay and deserves 5 stars.
