The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. We thought we were getting a room with a view of the mountains. The "mountains" were right outside our window - I mean about 50' from the room. No real "view". So, don't pay extra for a room "with a view of the mountains". Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Check in was lovely and friendly. I don’t have her name but she had dyed purple or pink hair! Super nice to the pets. The room is very clean and comfortable. Awesome place to land after a very long day of driving. Garth agrees — he’s very sleepy.

Very accommodating dog-friendly hotel. Convenient access to Big Cottonwood Trail for your dog-walking pleasure. They even give you a handout with local vet information, which is nice. $50 pet fee is per stay: not great for a single night, but a bargain for longer visits. Spotless room was comfortable. Zero complaints; would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel few times and it has never disappointed. It is clean and close to the ski resorts. The only thing that could be improved is the quality and the variety of the complimentary breakfast.

The Hampton Inn has been our mainstay for our ski trips to Utah for years. The location is great for access to both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons, and the property is well-maintained and staffed by friendly attendants, and maintenance staff. We were greatly disappointed to find out that the bus service from the hotel to the ski resorts is not reliable. On more than one day, we were forced to wait for two hours for a bus that was not already full and would take passengers. Having a bus stop in front of the hotel was the main reason for staying there so this is a deal killer for us going forward.

It was a nice hotel with a convenient location to the bus stop up to the ski resorts. The walls in the room were rather thin so you could hear your neighbors, the shower door didn’t want to stay in place, and towards the end of the trip the shower was slow to drain. Overall with these few complaints, it was a great hotel with and very friendly staff, and great location. I would stay here again on my next trip to SLC.

The location was perfect for a 3-day ski trip to Solitude, Snowbird, and Alta. UTA and Cottonwood connect stopped at property. Clean room, jacuzzi, close walk to restaurants.

Breakfast bar opened 40 minutes late and missing half the stations. Walls were paper-thin and I was awoken by a snorer on one side and late-night/early-morning talkers on the other. Also, the elevator didn’t work.

Perfect place to stay for SnowBird. The check-in host was friendly and made us feel welcome. The sound carries through the hallway, but besides that it was great.

Convenient location for ski trips. However, we were staying with family (adult children), and the barn door style bathroom that didn't close all the way made in un-usable for us, so we went to another hotel. With the door slid closed, there was a 1" gap that allowed full view into the bathroom. When I asked if this was normal at the front desk, they said that it was in all the rooms. They were accommodating and allowed us to check out and go to another hotel.

Stayed here for a week for ski with family and the hotel was quite nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Indoor pool was a treat after a day of ski. Breakfast was standard and convenient. The only downside is that the room is relatively small, especially with a lot of luggage; the hotel also seems slightly old and a remodeling would be nice, but that does not really bother us.

We had a great time staying here at the base of the Cottonwoods. It was clean, had a nice size bathroom, had enough room for my 2 kids, husband and I, and our 2 dogs. It’s great proximity to Alta, Brighton, Solitude and Snowbird. Breakfast was nice. Simple but adequate. They changed up the eggs and potatoes each day. It is also close to some great restaurants nearby for dinner. The things that could be improved (and I’m just being picky)- The hot tub was nice and steamy, and indoors, but not very big. The laundry cost $4 to wash and $4 to dry, and they’re small loads. There isn’t a lot of space for skis but they recommend bringing them inside as there are breakins in the area. We kept them in the closet in the room. Would be amazing if they had lockers. But for the price and location, this place is awesome and I highly recommend!

This is a great property! Good location if you are skiing and close to shopping. One thing that could be better is the tile in the pool and hot tub needs to be cleaned. It's pretty scummy. The room was clean, no fan in the potty room though so plug your noses if neccessary. Ask for a view if you want one because you can't see the city from the1st or 2nd floors. I'd totally stay again and the staff was awesome!

Our stay here was awesome! The location was perfect! It was a very clean environment in the public common areas as well as in our room. I'm in a wheelchair, and the room we had was the accessible room with the roll-in shower. The bed height was perfect. All areas of the room were clear and accessible. The bathroom was roomy and easily navigated. The only negative thing for me was the bed was quite hard, but Elisha Wiley, the guest services manager, worked with me trying to make it a little softer. She was super nice and willing to explore all options. I will definitely stay there again.

The walls must be very thin. We didn’t sleep much. Too many people running and laughing and yelling late into the night. Definitely won’t get a room with kids above us next time either. They were having a tap dance last into the night

This was a beautiful hotel. It had everything you needed. Including the perfect shower, a comfortable bed, a nice breakfast and a beautiful view of the sunset. The staff were super friendly and the check in was really fast.
