Accomodations are nice but dated. Walls were paper thin. Some one watching the TV in the next room at normal volume disturbed our sleep immensely.

Stayed here over the weekend for a reunion. Only issue was parking across the street for checking in & out. Room was very comfortable & close to everything downtown 👍

The hotel is set on a main strip and architecturally quaint. There are several places to eat in walking distance. The lobby is set up nicely offering coffee and tea. Despite being older it has been maintained well. My son & I stayed for just an overnight trip. The room was small but set up nicely so that he slept on the fold out coach area which was separated by the bathroom and his area even had its own tv. There was a mini fridge & microwave set up in an area that was like a mini bar with a sink. Everything was great until about 11pm when the couple in the room next to us started having a very loud conversation with went on for about 45 minutes before I called the front desk to complain. They couple must have gone out because at 2am it started all over again. I tried to call the front desk and no one answered, after two more attempts with the front desk I walked next door to ask them to lower their voices. The young lady said ok, but the torture of her yelling and cussing went on until 4 am. I had the AC on just to drown out their voices. Needless to say the night was out of a Twilight Zone…either confronting the couple again or just dealing with it. So if you are a light sleeper in anyway bring ear plugs or do not stay here. You can hear everything around you and heaven forbid you have someone next door like I did…you will regret it.

The location is why you stay. Being able to walk to campus is great. The room felt cramped, but the sofa bed is very separate from the bedroom area so it is a good floorplan for sharing the space with your teen. I would stay again.

The hotel has an excellent location right in the heart of Blacksburg. You can walk anywhere and there are many restaurants a few steps from the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the attention is friendly. There is a small parking lot for hotel guests.

Room was clean and comfortable. However, when we arrived at 6:45, we waited for 30 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check in. It was unknown to us that parking was in the parking garage across the street. A pass was given to us to access the parking garage but it did not work. Overall a good place to stay. Walking distance to everything needed.

Property was very convenient and walkable to VT. However, the parking lot was very tight, the room was dusty and smelled like cigarettes. No sheets for the sofabed and there was so much outside noise it was impossible to sleep.

Quaint and cute very friendly staff. The room was dark and had an odor. The sitting area couch must've bugs because after i goy off the couch to turn it i realized one side of my face had beoken out. One of the towels i attempted to use had a red stain on it. As if that wasnt enough the handle on the toliet broke off in my hand as a went to flush.

Location, location, location! We were able to use hotel parking for the weekend and walked to the VT football game. Hotel was clean but there were a few oddities: only one bar of soap was issued, so we kept having to move it from shower to sink; the tv was comically small for the room/distance to the bed; and no maid service during our 2 night stay. Would stay here again and just bring my own soap:)

The Main Street Inn is the PERFECT location for downtown Blacksburg. It's quiet and great parking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No amenities but we weren't looking to have anything fancy. The decor is a little outdated and the carpet could be redone in the room as it's a little dingy however the set-up is perfect for what we needed and it's great having a mini fridge and microwave in the room.
