We visited our daughter at Virginia Tech for the weekend. The Clay Corner Inn has an excellent location and a very attentive staff. Quaint rooms and a nice restaurant. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Clay Corner. The proximity to downtown and the Virginia Tech campus can’t be beat! The two bedroom suit was spacious and the shared kitchen and living room area had everything you would need. Would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Tech.

Good location, clean space and a nice sit down breakfast included with our rate. Beds were comfortable with nice sheets, nicer than our home sheets. Nice to have a common litchen space and easy parking.

This is NOT a real hotel business. Owner simply rents rooms in two old houses close to VT campus. There is NO privacy. There is NO real business. Owner very aggressive and impolite told me he doesn’t care about bad reviews or complaints. I guess he is right.

My partner and I stayed at Clay Corner Inn due to the closeness to downtown and campus, as we were visiting my younger brother. It was a great stay, very clean, the owner was very friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was amazing!

Clay Corner was a delightful experience. It is just barely off campus, and close to the vibrant Blacksburg Main street. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend it.

Great location, great folks working there. Very responsive, and communicative! They jumped on a parking situation where a guest of a guest parked in improper spot (people will do what they do), and they got it corrected with speed and courtesy. Breakfast was good, and worthwhile, despite us hitting snooze one too many times and coming down late. Spacious room, and nice accommodations in the old house portion. It has the charm of older construction in the main house, which we like (our house built in '42), but I expect the other rooms are in newer sections of the property. Pool looked inviting, and well maintained, but we had to boogy to get to where we were going so didn't try it. Great place, and great value in the perfect location (So close to the Tech stadium and arena-less than one "roady" on a walk). We wouldn't hesitate to book and go again. We stayed two days at the Greenbrier before this overnight so we appreciate nice things and good service. Not saying it's like the Greenbrier, but coming from the Greenbrier it kept us nicely!

Through texting and electronic registration checking in was very streamlined and easy. I found the room clean and comfortable and the sweet treats — a triple chocolate peppermint and a dreamsicle — were delicious. The location is great for access to town or the campus. I wasn’t there long enough to enjoy some of the other amenities but would definitely stay here again.

Since we knew we would arrive late, it was great that checking in and accessing our rooms was all electronic/contactless. The close proximity to Virginia Tech's campus and Main Street made this a great place to stay.

Great location on the edge of Va Tech campus and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. And close to several entrances to an extensive network of paved multi-purpose trails. Bring your bikes, strollers, and walking shoes.

My husband and I met friends at this wonderful Inn to see a concert at the local theater. Location is excellent for walking to Tech or downtown. Check in was a breeze, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless and well-equipped for a one night stay. Peaceful sleep and a comfy bed. We will always stay here when in the Blacksburg area!

A little gem! I can’t wait to visit this inn again. The room was comfortable with lots of amenities. Great residential location but only two blocks from restaurants/shopping on Main Street. There’s even off-street parking and breakfast. Loved it. Thank you so much!

The Clay Corner Inn was absolutely fantastic. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. There was great communication with the staff and we felt welcomed. The breakfast was delicious. It is within walking distance to sporting events and dining. I would highly recommend and can't wait to stay there again.
