PROS: Location was excellent because you are 3-5min walk to the beach and directly in the middle of all the shops/cafes/restaurants. Building amenities was excellent because these Orchid units are situated in the upper half of a Hilton hotel so there is a beautiful lobby with bar, 24/7 gym, beautiful outdoor pools (including one that is heated) in addition to a kids pool and the elevators were fast. We were on the 37th floor (out of 55 floors) and we had a beautiful view of the ocean with a nice breeze.
CONS: The unit itself is mediocre at best. Lighting during the day was gorgeous because of the sun and being on the 37th floor, however at night all the ceiling pot lights were too dim with one dead bulb so one corner of the living room was quite dark. Bathrooms were in poor condition: the tub itself was disgusting with multiple large stains, the shower glass door had a large-enough gap so water would always run down onto the floor, the silver corners of the shower were rusting and disgusting, the toilet flush button was green, very worn and needed replacing as the copper underneath was oxidizing. Ventilation was also poor as the rooms felt really stuffy and hot despite AC being on so I slept on the couch in the main living space.
Does everything work? Yes. But you're basically just paying to be in a Hilton building and near the beach. The room itself is not worth it.
Would I recommend? No. There are many other rentals nearby.
