Just a quick getaway to celebrate our 50th bday. Too bad we didn’t arrive earlier to enjoy it more. The location is amazing! Will return one day.

Just really impressed with the room size and amenities in there. I wasnt sure what to expect but it was incredible!!!

This place had a room upstairs that connected to our room which the guest upstairs had full entrance to our room. The place had a bunch of cats that I’m allergic too and the unit was dirty.

Nice room plenty of room for family of 4. Kids complained about bunks said very uncomfortable but other than that it was nice.

We woke up to a foggy view of Canyon Lake and two Does nibbling grass and looking for food we could throw to them with the supply of pellets on top of our fridge the hosts obviously provided. It was really quite a sight to wake up to after driving all day and showing up late at night. Then the fog slowly burned off and the view was amazing. Bed was comfy and we slept well.

Location! Location! Location!
Beautifully located on Canyon Lake with deer and fowl all around; food provided to feed the deer even. Immediately upon arrival, our blood pressure lowered to a nice level of calm.
Unfortunately, half the lights in our unit did not work, the sofa sleeper was broken - the bar on the left side was laying on the ground, there was rust in the tub from the upstairs bathroom drain dripping into our bathroom… Not welcoming for a warm bath at the end of the day.
One of the draws for this property was their note that every unit was soundproof. The walls may be soundproof, the ceiling (on downstairs units) is not.
The gorgeous Whitetail Deer definitely were the highlight of the weekend, especially being able to feed them out of our hands.

It was wonderful! We enjoyed the porch, the size of the unit was perfect for us. Our pup loved it as much as we did!!

Deer abundant! Loved the deer feed surprise, allowed us to hand feed and interact with the wildlife!

Great stay! The view was amazing and amenities provided are great will defently stay again

The pool was wonderful. Low score due to overwhelming perfume/odor control smell. We had to open up door and widows to air out our room. The location and view is spectacular but room needs attention. Very outdated with stains around sink. New pillows and blankets needed. Towels were new and clean. A little bit more cleaning and new bedding would help greatly. We enjoyed feeding the deer. Thank you for the bag full of deer food.

Amazing experience! Staff for reservation was very nice and she explained me everything in detail . The nature in this place is awesome and deers are friendly to feed . Thank you .

Weird place, no staff around. Soap is not sealed. Body wash smelled weird like if someone put pee inside it. No toothpaste or toothbrush at sink.
Showerhead was broken sprayed water everywhere except where you needed it. No light working at front door.
Back door celing fan was all noisy and wobbly. I saw that it was the only one of the down stairs rooms that was like this. All other rooms had an extra small table, mine did not. What worried me the most was the refillable soap containers...definitely not safe. My wife slathered it on my four y/o unknowingly and was panicking due to the smell.

We loved it so much and the communication with host was excellent. We can’t wait to go back!

View from our suite was amazing! Clean property and we love the fresh saltwater pool!

The property is being renovated; however, it does not cause clutter or disarray. The pool was clean and the kids really enjoyed it even though it is only 3 foot deep. Great path to the lake. You will have to be a little adventurous as the path is rock. Room was clean and the patio was inviting with a great view. We were able to feed and pet deer throughout the property.
Cons of stay: Store isnt set up yet so you cannot quickly grab ice or sunscreen (etc). Our oven didnt work so we had to order food out instead of cooking the pizzas we had brought.
Staff: We were greeted by one lady (short dark hair) that was so nice and notified us as soon as out room was ready (even though it was not check in time). She told us we could park and take advantage of the properties pool and walk ways prior to the room being ready. Then we met another lady (older light hair with accent) that was very rude. I asked about the pool as she was unlocking the door and she asked "Why are you talking at me?" "I dont want you talking to me." It was very strange and very rude.
I would potentially rebook at the resort.

This was a disappointing stay. Very little communication from the property staff & I never saw a single person who worked there. We stayed in Cabin A, furthest from the lake with no view of the lake from the main level. The deck was puzzling—picnic table ok, but the only other chairs were two old upholstered chairs that were uncomfortable & not meant for outdoors. Asked for some deck chairs, but was told they didn’t have any. Went myself to buy some. Couldn’t get outdoor fan to work. Flies and bugs were intense. The swim area was rocky, dangerous to navigate in sandals and with all the stagnant plant life, I didn’t find it at all appropriate for swimming. We headed back for pool, which had water that was so cloudy, it was opaque. Full of dead bugs. Wasps everywhere. Didn’t readily appear to be maintained. Construction happening as well, and although we didn’t see anyone working on anything, materials are laying all around the pool area. Food truck and general store not open. Never saw another guest either. Whole experience was strange & I’m so disappointed that we spent over 1k to spend two nights here!

Enjoyable to travel with young kids. Deer come to greet you every morning and the resort provided pellets to feed them. Bed was a tough sleep, but not terrible. Overall I would recommend and would go back

The rooms were clean and the hotel has a nice view. Pool was very bad. Couldn’t use it because it was green and needs maintenance.
No many places to eat around. The hotel needs more upgrades.

The view was amazing which was the best part of the trip. The lodge looks like it is being redone but only halfway there. The towels were dingy and the furniture is old. I expected a lot more for the price.

The resort is in a premium location, we liked very much the nature there. The kids enjoyed feeding the deer.
It is also within one hour drive of some fun attractions in the area.
We would recommend that they offer breakfast to the guests, which could be paid in advance. It would be very convenient

A little smaller than expected but very nice employees.

It was very nice. The location and the view to the lake was exceptional. In the Cabin where we stay had everything you need. Just bring your food. Has a great place for barbecue and the jacuzzi with the view was great. I definitely recommend it. Confortable for 2 or 3 families.

Enjoyed a one night stay at the resort. Pros - 1. Clean unit with marvelous view 2. Comfortable bed on the soft side, which I like. 3. Quiet 4. Picnic table in the kitchen area was a nice touch to the rustic feel 5. Tons of cable tv channels 6. Did not miss not having on-site reception and the check-in via text worked fine. 7. Reasonable price for a place to stay with lake a few steps away
Cons - 1. Couch is uncomfortable to sit on. We did not use as a bed 2. Bedroom fan wobbles, making noise 3. Bedroom mini-blinds do not begin to block the bright light from outside. In my opinion management or someone needs to be there at night to see the problem so they will be motivated to install a dark shade or curtain over the window. We do not travel with eyeshades or use them as they are uncomfortable. But given the bright light we would have tried them. 4. Laughably sparse selection of kitchenware. When we stay longer, we will bring our own. 5. No tv in the bedroom and no bedside lamps to allow reading since no tv
All in all, we recommend the resort and will stay again.

The cabins are super cute, beautifully built, we should have came at a different season because most things were closed including the pool and other activities and parks in that area. We went in February.

Clean cabin woth full kitchen and amazing view

Very close to Canyon Lake. Nice view of the lake as well.
Property and Lodge itself were clean and well maintained.
The lodge is older, dated.
My biggest problem was the noise level. The walls in the lodge are paper thin, you can hear TV, music, conversations of the surrounding rooms. Footsteps, cooking, toilet flushes can be heard from the upstairs room which is only separated by a thin door at the top of a winding stair case.
The bedding is thin and not warm. Bathroom is small and cramped, which for a room that can sleep 6, is not adequate.

We met up with family halfway to celebrate a family birthday and go see Christmas lights. The cabin was perfect with plenty of room to sleep all 9 of us very comfortly. The cabin had no cleanliness issues. It took some doing to figure out the lights. The area outside and the environment of the cabin setting was incredible with a ravine behind the cabin and a veiw of Canyon Lake from upstairs balcony. The hottub on the deck was a great surprise to us and was used by some of us to get the body aches out after the car ride. The shower head in the upstairs bath could be changed but no complaints otherwise. We definitely want to reserve this cabin again before to long. Thanks for the accommodations. Your property is beautiful and welcoming.

Well the chairs and sofa were uncomfortable. The kitchen only a 1/4 of what we need to cook, we cook bacon in a 3 qt pan. The bed was good and Wi-Fi was good. The only good thing was patio very of the lake. The people there nice people. But, I will not stay there again.

The view was spectacular and the deck was very nice. The lighting for accessing the second floor was nonexistent. We struggled to get up the stairs in the dark, trying to negotiate the steps with light shining from under them, which made it more difficult to see the treads. Also struggled to see our door. There were insufficient towel racks in the bathroom and the extra (unnecessary) fridge in the bedroom was noisy.

The checkin was different because you call or you are contacted by management and given a code to enter the room. So if you have a pending engagement, plan accordingly. The view of the lake is amazing. Lots of wildlife, hills and winding roads to property. Would visit property again.
