The hotel was absolutely lovely and even with a late arrival they were very pleasant and helpful, even with my awful German language skills! The room was cozy and comfortable. I will also add they had one of the best breakfasts I've yet seen at any hotel. Very extensive with meats and cheeses and patries and all of them were fresh and not store bought. I'll also add the hotel was an easy 15 minute walk through nice residential neighborhoods from the train station. Also it was a similarly pleasant 20 minute walk to the Panzermuseum.

Staff were really excellent, considerate and friendly especially as I am a non-German speaker. Manager at check-in was especially brilliant!
Bed had a soft mattress (not good for my back) but metal frame was quite sturdy so not as bad as I had feared initially.

Room 19 had a very strange layout on three different levels? Not sure if this was because we booked a double room? Single rooms either side of us were much more of a “normal layout” it made for an interesting journey to the bathroom in the middle of the night! The staff and restaurant were excellent.
