Lovely property. You need a car if going to old Matera. Grocery store close by. Pretty grounds and great pool (although like most Italian pools, not heated.) we found easy parking lots near the historic area so it is ok. The photos are deceiving because the spa whirlpool tub is not included - you have to pay 100 euro per couple to use those amenities. That should be made clear in the listing or they shouldn't show the photos. " Cave" hotel room is fun but only a window at door and in bathroom. Very nice breakfast and nice staff.

We stayed at the Maseria Santa Lucia for several days. Our room was entirely built with tuff stone and very stylishly furnished. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was very plentiful, coffee variations were served according to our wishes, and the selection of cakes was fantastic. The Maseria has a pool and a spa. Unfortunately, the spa can only be used privately for 1.5 hours for a fee of €100.
