The location was great, not too close to the Plaza de Armas and not too close to train station to hear the trains, right in front of the stream so the noise was nice. Kind hosts and good breakfast. Comfortable bed and clean room. Hot water.
No heater or portable heater available made 40° Fahrenheit nights difficult. Next to a farm and construction so lots of noise throughout the stay. Doors were locked at 9pm, coming back from dinner was a scare and had to wait for hosts to open the front door.

Perfect location for restaurants, local sights etc.
Peru rail station only a short walk away.
View of the mountains and the sound of the river running under my room window was a real bonus.

I liked the location to the train station. 5 minute walk to the OllanTayTambo train station which made our trip convenient.
It felt unorganised. Didn’t have much staff presence. The rooftop is completely different the pictures. The roof top is essentially a clothes line and not able to just sit out there and relax unfortunately. There was plenty of warm blankets. It is a noisy location but not really the hotels fault.
