The staff, Stacie and John were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Definitely get your steps in walking up and down the stairs. Enjoyed the balcony off the 3rd level.

For the time of year we stayed at. Things were not open but that’s due to after season. But this was a clean hotel. Beautiful view of the ocean. The third floor balcony was great. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

Ceiling fan was coated in dust, bathroom window blind won't close all the way. Otherwise ,absolutely excellent stay!!

The place looked outdated. The bedding was old. The thing I like about the place is the location. Having the boardwalk steps away was very convenient. I was especially fond of being able to hear the waves crashing on the shore as white noise to help me fall asleep, but the converse side of that was being able to hear cars revving their engines going down the strip. We just happened to be there at the same time as a car show, so I’m pretty sure they were just cruising the night away. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives, and for one night, it did just fine.

Absolutely loved this charming old-fashioned hotel right on the OC Boardwalk! They have clearly made recent upgrades to the place like a new coat of paint, a fantastic on-site coffee/bagel bar, outdoor seating, etc. My friend & I needed an affordable room for 1 night for the music festival. We didn't care about a view or size of the room, just a clean place to sleep & shower. We got a cute, clean room with 2 single beds- perfect! The preservation of the beautiful wooden doors, the old tiles in the bathrooms, & little seating areas make this so funky & fun. You are about a 15 min walk from the amusement part of the boardwalk. The woman at check in was so nice & made it easy. Now, that all being said, I am not sure what other kinds of rooms they offer but for a quick trip to OC this place is GREAT!

Great location! Charming and pleasant spot right where you wanna be on the boardwalk. Plenty of space and comfort in our efficiency “apartment” where you could park your car and walk around and enjoy Ocean City! Lovely little find.

The guy at the front desk left his earbuds in while checking me in he had low customer service skills He put me in another building, dirty run down not on the boardwalk, 3rd floor no elevator
They gutted the charm of the vintage lobby with a restaurant dessert place

The Lankford is a wonderful early 1900s hotel right on the boardwalk and a few steps away from the beach. The building is charming and has wonderful touches such as classic wood doors, moldings, wood banisters and antique style furniture throughout.
The staff was very accommodating during our stay. We had a broken shower head and it was fixed within 20 minutes of notifying maintenance. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and most include a kitchenette with refrigerator, stove, microwave and other accoutrements to help save on eating out.
Some things to keep in mind: The building is over 100 years old and is three levels. There is no elevator but we observed the staff helping an elderly guest up the stairs. We received clean towels every day and there was daily trash removal.
The fixtures are not modern but are functional.
There is no central HVAC so each room has its own A/C unit.
Overall, the family enjoyed the stay and we would book at this charming hotel again.

I miss the sprawling lobby they once had!
Sure, the rocking chairs out front are gone too, but the big lobby was magical! It hit me square in the chest.

Room was nice and comfortable.
Like the porch and sitting area.
Only real drawback was the size of the TV (only a 13" screen??).

This is an older property that has been well maintained and is meticulously cleaned. Right on the boardwalk with the option of an amazing waterfront view.
Although we had a visiting mouse there were none of the accompanying signs that it was a long term resident and we were provided a larger room in a different building.
We will definately be returning.

This was sooooo clean and kept up with really well by housekeeping. Outdated bathroom sure but it was perfect for someone who just wants a clean safe place to rest and change in between enjoying the beach and touring the town. Bed was also so comfy.

The location of the Lankford was amazing, we stayed in The Lodge section of the hotel. The biggest complaint that we had was in regards to the bathroom. The water pressure was horrendous and it took forever to get any warm/hot water. The tile looks like it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. There isn't much room in the bathroom either, if you are a taller person you will either have to sit sideways on the toilet or bend your knees really well. There was also the smell of cigarette smoke that kept wafting up from somewhere in the bathroom, which is not the hotel's fault at all, just was a very obvious smell. The last issue was whatever is on the wall, I'm not sure if it was a smoke detector or what, but it would give this awful screeching noise randomly in the middle of the night, waking us up. There was no rhyme or reason to why it went off, it would just randomly happen.

Great old home charm. We loved the fact that maid service was provided unlike many hotels that are still clinging to 2020 Covid practices. Great location right on the boardwalk.

Not told the room was on the top floor with 4 flights of stairs. Nothing on the website stated the room had 4 flights of stairs. Ask the person at the front desk when we checked in what floor the room was on she just said it was in the building next store and we would see the room. Climbed the stairs, the room did not look like the pictures on the web site. Room was clean but the bedding looked old and worn. Decided not to stay. The person at the front desk gave us the number for the manager concerning a refund. Called that night unable to leave message. Called the next morning had to leave a message with the secretary it has been 4 days no phone called. Called hotels .com they were unable to reach the manage and sent an email. As of 48 hours they did not receive a respond. They are still working with me concerning a refund. I stayed at the hotel in 2020 was told then the room had 1 flight of stairs, and the room was very clean and looked like the room on the website. Told the hotel has new owners. Will never recommend this hotel.

Beware of deceiving pictures. We selected this property for our 29th anniversary. It looked cute online but boy were we deceived. After checking in we were directed to our room and the building we were sent too was old, run down and dirty. The garden filled with weeds, the smell was awful which tuened out to be gas leaking from the stove. The furniture was stained and filthy and the kitchenette was rusty and gross. We were yelled out by a regular for un marked parking spot and when called the front desk it was flipped on us like we disnt something wrong. We will never stay here again, 1100 for 3 nights in a nightmare. We would have left if everything wasnt booked. It is right by the boardwalk which is the only positive thing i can say. Overall it was awful

Lankford is an excellent option if you're looking for lodging on the boardwalk, and the feel of something different than the standard hotel. While the overall look can feel somewhat dated, the side view room was clean comfortable, and well kept. Amenities of the room were standard, however, it was a pleasant surprise to find an electric stove top and oven in the room. Food and beverage shopping was easily accessible within a few minutes walk. A worth while stay and under consideration for future visits to Ocean City, MD.

I have been staying in this property for several years in the past. There were 2 things changed
One is the bar that newly open next to building (before it’s the shop that belonged to hotel)
I can hear the sound at night, it stopped around 2 am. If you have noise sensitive like me, it’s hard to sleep.
Two is no more living area for having breakfast - it’s changed to bakery. No more hot coffee, tea and chocolate or toaster or place that people can sit and hang around.

We really loved our stay at The Langford. Absolutely unbeatable location. Nice staff and attentive service. Rooms are cozy and we loved having a little kitchen and balcony. The hotel is older but we found the antique setting charming. We would definitely consider coming back!

It was a great last minute trip away.

The Lankford is a nice older property. Our room was clean and well stocked. We chose a non-oceanfront room and were not prepared for it to be a couple buildings in from the ocean, as the Lankford is an oceanfront hotel, so that was a little disappointing to be off site from the hotel for our stay. The walls are quite thin in the rooms, as we were woken any time the people next to us used the bathroom. Otherwise for the value, this was a nice hotel.

We did not know there were two separate locations and at first we were in a room at the lodge on the 3rd floor. My father has a pacemaker and could not manage the stairs. Once we told the concierge she graciously moved our room to the main building and gave us adjoining rooms. Which made the stay so much better. The facility itself was nicely kept with some upgrades to make the experience that much better.

Would like coffee in lobby and in room as there
Was a coffee pot

The staff is very welcoming and very cooperative. The room was very clean, very quiet, and the mattress was very comfortable.
To make this property excellent they should put a microwave in each room and upgrade the TV.
For their sake I would update the pictures of the property and the description of the property. It is much better than described.
