Love it. Next time I will book a room with a shower. The tub is too hard for me to get in and out of and I never relaxed standing in it water went back and forth between hot and cold also

Our stay has been wonderful. We had flight delays and the staff kept in communication, left us a treat and ane and answered our questions without hesitation and with great hospitality ( not the false fake kind either)! Genuine care and attentiveness was well appreciated and made the beauty of the atmosphere stick out even more. Thank you Kathy and Jackie.

We entered the house to find one staff on duty who on the phone. Instead of immediately excusing herself from the call because she had guests, she made us wait while she continued to talk on the phone. She just motioned for me to come here or there, but still talking the entire time. Complaining and talking about showing their butt. She finally hung up and said oh sorry we are having problems with housekeeping. I didn’t need to know that. Anyway…the room was barely average. Nothing special at all. No counter or place to put toiletries in the bathroom. Super uncomfortable antique sofa. Just wouldn’t stay here again. Disappointed.

The Mansion is a beautiful place to stay. Tammy and Erika are excellent hostesses. Tammy drove us to the Strand for dinner and picked us up when we were done. She made sure the social hour started out right for all guests. Erika made a delicious breakfast and gave us a ride to the port. Wish our stay was longer. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Galveston.

I spent one night at The Mansion on 17th prior to taking a cruise out of Galveston. As a solo traveler, I was well taken care of by Tammy (Innkeeper). I enjoyed meeting other guests during the social hour (cheese, crackers, olives, wine and cocktails were served). Tammy had the porch firepit on for those who wanted to sit outside (on a rare cold Galveston evening)...which I took advantage of after walking back to the Inn after dinner. I stayed in room 6 and enjoyed a bath in the clawfoot tub. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated that breakfast was served until 10:00 am. and there was a choice of items (biscuit and gravy, french toast or quiche). Thank you Tammy for a wonderful stay in Galveston and at The Mansion on 17th. I'll be back!

Breakfast was excellent, food is delicious. Tammy was especially helpful and went above and beyond in assisting us with our small wedding ceremony at the mansion. They also made transportation to the cruise port seamless. My wife and I highly recommend The Mansion on 17th for all of your vacation needs and wants.

Everybody is super friendly and helpful. The owner drove to pick me and my wife up from the Cruise Port and brought us to the mansion even though it was earlier than when they usually do that. And in his personal car. Then told us about the downtown area while our room was being cleaned. It was great.

This was an amazing bed and breakfast. The staff we so friendly and welcoming. In fact, I forgot my husband's jacket and they called and are mailing it to us. The only suggestion would be to alert guests about their claw foot tubs. A bit tricky to get into. They do have one room with a walkin shower.

The service was outstanding. The place was clean and well maintained for the age of the property. We had the most accommodating host that met us, transported us down to the Strand for a tour and dinner. Breakfast was by far superb. Parking was free and transportation to our cruise ship was provided on the day of our departure. This B&B is a must stay property in the Galveston area.

We stayed at the Mansion on December 4th and 5th. Weather was as expected 20-24C. We had the ground level room, with 15ft ceilings. The room as well as the mansion was so neat and historical. We loved the creaking floors and the older feeling, but all the comforts of home. Breakfast made to order in the morning by the owner Rick. Coffee and breakfast was amazing! We enjoyed happy hour at 4-5 with a drink of wine and some cheese, fruit and crackers. We met some sweet couples, oddly within an hour drive of Galveston (tells you how great the place it). We did a historical ghost tour at night, that was fun. Looking forward to making it back simply to stay there again.

The Mansion on 17th is just lovely. Such a pleasant surprise as I had not heard of it before as a former island resident. Lovely room, private balcony, wine upon arrival. Staff was excellent and the breakfast was fantastic. French press coffee? yes, please!

We had a great time at this place. It was beautiful and they had the AC nice and low before we checked into our room and offered us drinks for the happy hour right away. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely recommend to friends.
