We stayed in the Papaver room and the maintenance issues ruined the stay. The kitchen tap dripped constantly with no way to stop it, and you could hear it all night, which made sleeping properly impossible. There was also a dripping sound coming from inside the wall, so even away from the tap it never really went quiet. The kitchen sink leaked, and the pipe underneath it was caked in mold and grease. The shower was just as bad. The handle was broken and impossibly touchy, the tiniest twist sent the pressure blasting, and the temperature was either boiling hot or ice cold with nothing in between. The same position on the handle didn't even give the same result twice depending on which direction you turned it from, so every shower was a guessing game. On top of that, the cupboards were broken and the safe was too small to fit an iPad, which is not great when you want to leave a device behind for the day. The positives: the location is nice, and check-in was smooth, though that is mostly because it is fully self service with no staff involved, so there isn't much that can go wrong there.

The police showed up suddenly in the early morning with a judiciary official to vacate and impound the building. Apparently there is a legal dispute going on between the building owner and the facility manager over unpaid rents. After we had to dress up and pack our things in 10 minutes and be ready to be left on the street, they told us "we could stay for the moment while the situation was being clarified". As we of course didn't want to run any further risks, we changed accommodation. The manager wrote to us he would work to get us a reimbursement as apology for the situation, then disappeared and of course no reimbursement granted...
