Great sized room for families. Pool and pool area were warm enough to be pleasant, waterslide is fast! Will be back again!

Nothing was unique about this property. i made a reservation for Dec 2 for this place for a hockey tournament. There was a glitch in the expedia software where i date did not get changed so after I paid for it my husband told me to check the date and sure enough it was the wrong ate, sooo we spent New Years Eve in Sylvan Lake, AB . Since it was paid for the owners would not approve changes to the date after alot of emails expedia gave up on them. So make sure your dates are correct because owner will not allow changes. Some on the front desk staff were very unfriendly. Greedy owners

Parking lot is a little bit small and didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t enjoy the pool and hot tub as much as I would have liked due to the fact that all the children were extremely load and nobody was asked to bring the volume levels down

Good hotel, little pricey for what you get. Sylvan seems to be a higher priced small town in all things, food. restaurants. I would stay here again. I stayed in Calgary cheaper with a better chain of hotel. It is a local hotel so they have a bit of work to do. The rooms are a little shabby and probably need a facelift.

The manager completely ignores guests problems, does not respond to the problem and will not talk to the guest and will not return phone calls. The staff has no authority to deal with problems. I would never stay at this hotel again and I would not recommend it to anyone. As for Expedia, their agent in this reservation, that Expedia booked on the wrong date and could not or was not allowed to correct by the manager of the hotel, I was forced to pay twice for the stay i requested. My advise, do not deal with either.

This hotel was quite reasonable, comfortable and weekend breakfast was OK. We were there for wedding and check-in was for 4 pm. We needed an earlier check-in. They wanted $45 for 2 hours early check-in which is exorbitant if the room is available. Hot-tub was also filthy and unusable.

The hotel was easy to find and minutes from downtown Sylvan Lake. But away from the busyness of the downtown hotels. Affordable with good breakfast options.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to help me. When my television had a small issue, they made numerous trips to and from my room until the problem was rectified. My only complaint was no bacon at breakfast, though the sausages and eggs were fresh and hot. I'll be staying again.

The kids had the best time at this waterslide and indoor pool as a break from the beach and lake. The location was quiet and my family was able to sleep. The BEST part about this stay was the unexpectedly excellent breakfast!! The selection was surprisingly abundant with yogurt, fruit, Costco muffins, fresh waffles and sausage!! Absolutely worth the price of the hotel! The hotel attendant managing the breakfast deserves special mention as she checked food ingredients for my son, who has a tricky allergy. My kids didn’t want to leave and we will definitely stay here again.

I like the fact that there was room options with a separate room for the kids that had bunks. Breakfast was nothing of interest, pool and hot tub were not very clean.

Arrived 1 hr and 15 minutes before check in, for a 2 night stay, and we’re told we would need to pay an extra $45, even though the room was ready. Already paid $400.00. The TV didn’t work. Coffee maker didn’t work. Room was spacious and clean. Shower excellent.

Keep in mind that if booking for a pet friendly room that there are none available. I was made to pay a $250 “cleaning fee” when I checked in for having my dogs.

I liked the overall appearance of the hotel room. It had a pool and hot tub which my family and I utilized and the breakfast was good too. The things that I didn’t like was that the hotel room toilet was not flushing properly and the area next one of the beds could have been cleaned a bit better. I would positively suggest that a coffee and tea maker be added to the room to enhance one’s hotel experience. Apart from that, it was a good stay at the Prairie Moon Inn.
