When we arrived the farm stay owners offered us a unit other than what we selected. WOW! What a lucky day. It was a free standing unit, smelled of new wood construction, simply designed,spacious, bright, balcony overlooked the farm horses, cattle in the distance (we heard cow bell tinkling from our deck)and clear views of the Dolomites.
Fresh bread at the door every morning. Delicious.
Quiet.
The Host, Hostess and Daughter (interpreter), we are typical American tourists knowing only English, were very accommodating , responsive to requests. In this community primary language is German but all students currently learn German, Italian and English. Need an interpreter ask a young person.
Jenesien (St Genesio) is a small hilly community, friendly , walkable has a couple small grocery stores, bakery, butcher shop etc just what you find and enjoy about Europe. Multiple restaurants .
Hilly drive to Bolzano.,Dolomites 1 hour drive. Lots of local hiking and biking.
On day 1 wifi was not working. Owners had it corrected promptly.
Flies, but it’s a farm. To be expected.
The benefits grossly outweigh the negative.
