The kitchen is open to the living area where you can sit and watch the game on the TV or pop in a movie and sit down with a bag of popcorn. The three bedrooms are located upstairs. The main bedroom has a memory foam mattress and a sliding door that leads out onto a private deck with a view of the beautiful Manzanita beach. Beachaven can be your perfect little beach haven that you will want to return to again and again. THINGS TO KNOW Full kitchen without a dishwasher Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Location, location, location! We did a family Christmas trip and this was an excellent spot. Very close to the beach! The wood stove was also nice to have at night (BYO wood). We were able to cook some decent meals as well.

We had friends and family on from phoenix and had an absolute blast in the house. The location is fantastic. Literally 200yds from the beach! Can hear the ocean easily when the windows are open!! Will definitely stay here again.

Great location C quality property but it was priced accordingly. Good house, tired furnishings, cabinets and carpet. One will need to do some cleaning as the cleaning company does not do a stellar job, but overall some things outweigh the others.

From close proximity to the beach to size of accommodation (roomy enough for 6 of us), it met all our needs. Clean, simple and a quiet neighborhood. We had initial concerns of its location behind a motel, but there were no noise issues. There is no dishwasher, but we brought extra dishwashing liquid and everyone pitched in. The location was great, near the beach. The home was old and a bit outdated, but comfortable. All the bedrooms are in the upper story with a fairly narrow, steep stairway.

Very short walk to beach is all that is positive about this property. First impression was musty and shabby. We expected more in Manzanita. Furnishings are cheap and dated. Kitchen mostly bare. Window blinds broken and did not provide night privacy. Carpet in kids room is pulled back with tack strips showing. Mattresses old and worn. Bedding and towels old and worn. Microwave is from 1990s, there wasn’t enough cookware to prep much. Ceiling and light fixture in laundry (and where toilet is) shows water damage. Replacing blinds, a paint job, and updating furnishing would go a long way to making this place cute. The online pictures are an over-sale of this unit.

Location and price were on point. House is as-advertised, but housekeeping wasn't great. Fridge was dirty and there was sand everywhere. Amenities such as laundry soap were lacking. Master bed was comfortable. 2nd queen sloped to the middle.

The house was clean and very close to the beach. Clean and comfortable living room, bedrooms and bathrooms. The photos of the home showed it as more update than it was. Linoleum and some bedroom furniture were dated. The kitchen was dated...stove burners were rusty, oven cleaned but there was residue of oven cleaner and signs of aging, cabinets were old and not well organized so it was not easy to find things and some cookware needed replacing, only one hand held can opener that did not work, stained but clean dish towels that needed to be tossed into rag bin and no dishwasher, even though check out directions asked me to run dishwasher when leaving. When I found the dish drying rack, I needed to clean it. I am glad I did not need to cook a traditional Thanksgiving dinner because it was a frustrating experience using this kitchen. Items that helped were newer clean refrigerator, nice but small convection counter top toaster oven, clean microwave and coffee pot. Being Thanksgiving, many restaurants had holiday hours, so eating out was not a convenient alternative. My plan was for mostly cozy comfort meals at the house. The kitchen made the stay a little disappointing but the house was clean and close to the beach. Other positive aspects: Two wonderful markets close by. Great small businesses in the area for holiday shopping. Easy access to the beach and beach chairs available for use. Very friendly people at local businesses. We also found a tiny but delicious Thai restaurant one night. These were the things that made the review better. C+ would be an accurate rating.
