Hedgehog’s Home was a lovely place, and we enjoyed the accommodations. However, we were not informed in advance that payment was required in cash. Had this been clearly stated before our arrival, we could easily have brought sufficient cash and exchanged it for local currency in Sarajevo.
Unfortunately, we could not access cash through our bank cards, and when we finally found an ATM that worked, we incurred a very large fee. This unexpected cash requirement affected the remainder of our trip, leaving us unable to purchase souvenirs and creating considerable difficulty and stress.
We believe the cash-only payment requirement should be clearly disclosed at booking, both by Hedgehog’s Home and on Booking.com, so future guests can adequately prepare. With better communication regarding payment, our experience would have been much more enjoyable.

Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig und man hat auf dem Balkon einen sehr schönen Blick über die Stadt, aber auch ins Grün und auf die Berge. Dennoch ist man auch zu Fuß schnell im Zentrum. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß und äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet; sie erinnert viel eher an ein echtes, gemütliches Zuhause als eine unpersönliche Ferienwohnung. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und aufgeschlossen, man fühlt sich gleich willkommen.
