Good value and charming space

Wonderful charming space. Very hospitable host and excellent location

No housekeeping for the three nights or my stay including emptying the bathroom trash can where one is supposed to deposit your used toilet paper.

Would never return.

Location and staff and courtyard.

Plumbing is not fully functional. Guests are asked not to flush their toilet paper as the system is quite old and "can't handle it." Instead, guests are asked to put their used toilet paper in plastic bags and dispose of these in the facility's trash bins outside. It would have been very nice to know this before committing to a reservation. Frankly it feels misrepresentation if not fraudulent.

Casa Aurora is a blend of hostel, small hotel, and guest house.

The garden is beautiful and peaceful. The atmosphere is casual and the staff are friendly and helpful. The property is centrally located within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and the plaza and malacon.

There’s nothing I didn’t like. I enjoyed my visit. A great place to come if you’re tired of resorts. I plan to return for a longer stay.

Rustico, charming property with great location in the village

Great location for walking into the village where there is everything one needs. Bonus is the location is also close to the mountain for morning mountain walks. Room was accurately depicted in the photos. The property is small but somehow rambling and charmingly rustic. Hosts who live on the property and other guests are quiet and respectful of privacy and facilitate a peaceful environment. Perfect for solo woman traveler.

I would stay here again. For me the good stuff far outweighs the negatives.

I really enjoyed the rooms. It was a one bedroom suite with a kitchen. It opened out onto a pretty courtyard. The manager was VERY helpful and friendly. The wind had blown the pilot light on the hot water heater out and it was fixed within minutes when I brought it to his attention. It is within walking distance to many good restaurants and the town square/plaza.

More hot water. The amount of hot water made for very short showers, even when I was the first up in the property. Street noise at night. This was kinda expected as it is on the edge of the town center. Also, do not come to Ajijic on New Years Eve if you want quite. :)

Excellent value!

There was no breakfast...and no restaurant. However, there was a kitchen for use by the residents. I was able to easily walk to meetings at the Lake Chapala Society and to restaurants.

Go somewhere else

No breakfast

Gaps in the floor. Could see the light and hear the noise from floor below. No one ever at reception. Water only trickles out of the shower. No TV. Hard bed.
