The cottage is comfortable and cosy and was well equipped for all our needs. It is in a great location for exploring both the south and north coasts of Cornwall. Polly was a great host, left us fresh eggs and snacks and their mini market is a brilliant idea. We were grateful to have access to their garden and lake.
We were a little disappointed that the cottage was on the road and didn't have lakeside and garden views as implied in the description. Also as someone who has limited mobility it should be noted that although the accommodation is all on one level. The private outside space is a raised decking area that is accessed by a flight of stairs.

Perfect spot to wind down before the rush into the holiday, excellent hosts who got us an unexpected starter kit , impressive accommodation (all one needs managed into the old stable, renovated in remarkable craftsmanship and with style, the deck was the cherry on the top); we liked that retreat a lot! Nice walks around, too.
A bit noise to get used to by the close by water pump.
We booked only three nights!

Fabulous stay at the Goat House. So many thoughtful touches to make your visit as comfortable as possible. The terrace is an idyllic spot for morning coffee and a book and a suntrap for a cold sundowner after a long walk in the woods (literally on the doorstep). We loved our couple of days of downtime after some pretty hectic weeks at work. Couldn't have asked for a better spot to switch off and enjoy some time out in the forest and at the coast. Visited Fowey, Lostwithiel, St Austell, Charlestown and Watergate Bay + Newquay.
Thank you Polly & Mark for a great stay (even got some of my essay written- wifi was great!). Would definitely visit again.
