Situated in Oak Island, this lovely house for $169 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. THE BEE'S KNEES is a cozy and charming dog-friendly, one-level beach cottage that is only a 15 minute walk to the ocean and less than a 2 minute drive (0.7 miles). This 3-bdr/2-bath one-story house is fully updated and nicely decorated. The back screened in patio opens to a shaded backyard with beautiful live oak trees and surrounded by a 6-foot fence. 3 Bedroom | 2 Full Bathrooms 1 Queen | 1 Queen | 2 twin bunk beds | All beds have new memory foam mattresses Weekly Discount-7 nights- 7% Long Stay Discount- 21 nights- 35% Monthly Discount- 22+ nights- 40% Available monthly from October to April. Cleaning fee includes linens. This is our second home that we visit regularly, and have made it comfortable & fun for you to enjoy as well. The house is 0.7 miles from the beach via the SE 9th footbridge(4 blocks over), or about the same distance via the Middleton Rd beach access. The house has fast 400 mbps Wifi, with complementary streaming Spectrum(cable), and access to your Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Hulu accounts via the Smart TVs. The following has been included to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible: * Outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a dog wash sprayer * Washer & Dryer * Beach towels * Beach wagon * Beach chairs * Beach umbrella * Beach totes * Boogie and skim boards * Bicycles (bring your own helmets) * High chair * Pack 'n play (bring your own linens) * Stroller * Board games * 22" Weber charcoal kettle grill (charcoal NOT included) * Weber Spirit 3 burner propane grill (propane IS included) * Fire pit with Adirondack Chairs (wood not provided, but all local grocery stores sell firewood) * Wireless and multiport cell phone/device chargers The home also has 2 dog beds and 3 dog bowls. There is a shop vac in the garage so you can vacuum out all that beach sand before you return home. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, dresser, desk, full bath with large walk in shower, vanity with granite top, large walk-in closet, and a 42" Smart TV. Bedroom #2 has a queen sized bed, two night stands, 32" Smart TV, and a closet. Bedroom #3 sleeps up to 4 people with two sets of twin bunk beds(upper bunks have pocket organizers to hold cell phones, eyeglasses, etc) and a nightstand. The living room has a cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan, a microfiber couch, matching love seat, two swivel chairs, a 50" smart tv, and a gas log fireplace. The fully stocked kitchen features: * Stainless steel appliances(microwave, smooth top stove, dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer) * KitchenAid mixer * Pizza pans * Cookie sheets * Muffin pans * Casserole dish * Turkey roasting pan *12 cup coffee maker * Keurig coffee maker * 2 & 5 qt crock pot * Ninja blender * Toaster * Mixing bowls * Measuring cups * Drinkware, Dinnerware, Flatware, Wine Glasses * Pots & pans * Spice rack with spices, salt, pepper. The dining area has seating for 7 people, while the screened in porch can accommodate an additional 8 people (6 person dining set and a 2 person bistro set). Bed linens and bath towels are included and will be shrink wrapped on upon arrival. Owners supply a STARTER PACK ONLY of shampoo,body wash,dish soap,dishwasher pod,laundry detergent,paper towels,toilet paper,trash bags. Additional supplies may be purchased from the following stores located on the island-Dollar General,Publix and Food Lion,etc. -->There are three security cameras- one on the driveway, one on the back yard and one in the garage

We had a great time at the Bee’s Knees. The hosts really have it buttoned up. The home was charming, clean, fully stocked and comfy. Our fur babies loved the fenced in back yard. The best part was tooling around the island in their golf cart. Great fun!! Mariah was the co-host and answered our texts promptly and super nice to work with. Thanks for sharing this property with us. We will be coming back.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Our kids loved all the games and toys that were there. They also loved riding the golf cart. The golf cart is a must, it makes getting around with kids so much easier. My wife loved the screened in porch. We definitely plan to come back another time.

We had a great time at The Bee’s Knees! Bill & Tawnya are very helpful with any questions, and even let us know about closures since the island was getting prepared for Idalia during our stay. The home was very clean and convenient to restaurants and shopping areas. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could ever need if you plan on cooking meals, everything you need for a fun day on the beach is already there and saved us the trouble of packing even more stuff, and plenty of toys and games that my 8 year old niece had so much fun playing with during her stay as well. The beds were probably the most comfortable we’ve had in a vacation home! We also rented the golf cart for the week (highly recommend!). This was so convenient for beach trips, and much easier to find parking than if we had taken a vehicle. Our dogs enjoyed the dog beds and toys provided, and loved being able to go out in the fenced backyard throughout the day. The ring toss game on the back porch is very fun, and we enjoyed quite a few evenings of some friendly competition of seeing who could get the highest score. Highly recommend staying at The Bee’s Knees if you’re looking for a dog friendly & relaxing spot in Oak Island! We definitely plan to be back!

We really enjoyed staying at the Bee’s Knees. This place is just as the pictures show. The owners have thought of everything which makes your time at the beach so easy. The kitchen is fully stocked with what you need to cook just about anything. We thought the backyard area was beautiful and cozy. Driving the golf cart made Beach parking easy, and we appreciated the instructions and map of the golf cart route. Sometimes I hesitate to rent a dog friendly place sight unseen because they are not always clean. But the Bee’s Knees was nice and clean and did not disappoint! Thank you, Bill and Tawnya!

We loved the Bee's Knees! The house was loaded with ALL of the amenities of home. It was more than enough room for our family of 4, and incredibly comfortable. We made memories for a lifetime here and look forward to coming back again.

If I could give this house more than 5 stars, I definitely would! This is absolutely the cutest beach house with plenty of room and it’s better than the pictures! The house was super clean, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the back porch area was our favorite spot to hang out, and it was so easy and so much fun to explore Oak Island on the golf cart! The binder they made was full of instructions for anything and everything we could possibly need while we were there and it was so helpful! Bill and Tawnya literally thought of everything to make this house a home away from home! We can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bee's Knees! It's very obvious that the host family has a love for Oak Island, but also for helping their guest make memories of their own on the beautiful island. Everything about the host screams details! They have thought of everything and their information binder is amazingly helpful if you are new to the area. They are very accommodating and responsive to questions/requests. We can't wait to come back to the Bee's Knees again next year!

The Bees Knees was extremely well appointed with all the amenities one could ask for. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The golf cart was great for accessing the beach. The hosts' book and emails regarding local activities and restaurants was very helpful. We highly recommend The Bees Knees!

My husband and I brought our Bernedoodles and my daughter and her boyfriend and their doodle. Everything was perfect! Dogs had a blast for their first trip to the beach. Very clean home and no odors.

If I had to use one word to describe this home, I would say "perfect." The home was very clean and well stocked with every need imaginable. The pups loved the fenced yard and lovely screened porch. The beach chairs, cart, umbrellas, etc. Made visiting the beach so much easier. The golf cart was amazing and will be a must on our next visit back to this lovely home which we will be booking again!! Thank you so much for our fantastic vacation!!

Our family of 7 + dog stayed at the Bee's Knees for several days in December and it was a perfect getaway. The house was so cute inside and out and was clean and decorated very nicely. Each of the bedrooms were perfect for our needs. The hosts have thought of everything someone might need while there and it was all just so convenient. The screened in porch with string lights, the fenced in back yard, and the firepit were all so nice. The setup made it easy to have your dog there. Kitchen was very well stocked with cookware, silverware, plates, cups, etc. The street was nice and quiet. The walk to the beach was not bad but we mostly just drove the 2 minute drive there. Hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. We definitely would stay here again!

This amazing home suited all of our needs for a family getaway. Everything was so neat and organized. The yard and the fire pit really added to our stay and we loved having the golf cart!We had a wonderful time! If you get the chance, definitely rent this gem of a house!!!

We had a great stay! The property is very easy to get in and out of. Conveniently located to both beach access and restaurants. The house was well accommodated and everything was thought of. Our dog enjoyed the fenced back yard and nice walks in the neighborhood. Bill (Host) was very fast to respond and super helpful! We love OKI and would recommend the Bee's Knees. The golf cart on site was really cool and convenient!

Great property with lots of amenities. We loved the privacy of the fenced in backyard because we took our dogs. The home was clean and near beach, restaurants & grocery stores. The owner also offered rental of a golf cart which was real super nice!
