The second-floor, "Schooner" suite has a private entrance and is furnished with new beds, couches, lighting, flooring, and all updated bathrooms. The suite has a refurbished fully equipped kitchen, two queen bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a living room/dining room open floor plan. There is an outside deck with chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon reading. Walk across the street to the dock to enjoy the water and cove view. Feel free to rent canoes or Kayaks and launch them from the dock for a quiet paddle in and around the coves. There is a barbecue grill and picnic tables for your enjoyment. Robinson's Wharf Restaurant is a quick 5-minute walk where you can grab a meal, sit outside on the deck, watch the lobstermen bring in their catch, enjoy a cocktail or bring home fresh fish or lobster to cook at your leisure. The location can't be beat with easy access on and off Southport Island and all it has to offer, plus a quick 7 minute drive to Boothbay Harbor. We had a wonderful extended weekend on Southport island! Location is great, short walk to Robinson’s Wharf and a short drive to Boothbay Harbor or to the Southport General Store. The accommodations were clean, well appointed, and very comfortable for four adults. The location is also very quiet and peaceful. Host was very responsive to questions we had in advance of our trip as well as during our stay in case we needed anything. There are also other units available in the same home if you have a larger party.

We had an unforgettable summer vacation in Booth Bay Harbor, Maine, thanks to this fantastic VRBO listing! The 2 bed 2 bath home's location right on the water was a dream come true. The newly renovated interior was stunning and had all the modern amenities we could ask for. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, ensuring every need was met and making us feel right at home. Property was perfect for our vacay! Location was ideal & accommodations more than met our expectations. First trip to Maine, Rockland lobster festival was our destination. We ate lobster, visited lighthouses, ate more lobster, saw lots of beautiful scenery, & enjoyed amazing weather!

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the newness and cleanliness of the unit. Minimal views of the cove. The street is busy at commute time and very close to the building. The balcony off 2nd bedroom looked over driveway and not laid out to sit with coffee/wine … more of a fire exit perhaps? Overall we did enjoy our long weekend.

After many years vacationing in Bar Harbor, we decided to try the mid-coast region. Southport/Boothbay Harbor did not disappoint. The Sea Captain’s House on Decker Cove was the perfect place for our family of three. The unit is clean, spacious and comfortable.

Modern and clean, this apartment was in such a great location. A walk to Robinson's Wharf with good seafood and a bar right in the harbor. A nine minute drive to the Maine Botanical Gardens and endless coves, beaches and harbors to explore. We brought kayaks and had some terrific outings. We had one issue and the owner was very responsive, even over the weekend. The communication was fantastic. Easy in and out. Would recommend a stay.

Great location, close to the water. 6 mins from ‘downtown’ Boothbay and ready access to beautiful Southport Island. House was in pristine condition and the host was a delight.

This is an excellent location. Howeve, there was no hot water in one shower so I was not able to take a shower during my entire stay. In the second bedroom where my friend stayed, there was only lukewarm water in the shower. The internet was intermittent almost never working. The same with the tv’s. Two sockets in the kitchen stopped working making it impossible to use the microwave. A frustrating visit.

It was a quick trip to Southport and Boothbay, but a very enjoyable one. The house was perfect for my needs. It’s clear the unit was recently renovated (they did a great job) and nicely furnished. The unit was very clean and well stocked. Kim did a great job helping me with the reservation and answering all my questions. Had a couple great meals at Robinson’s, particularly enjoyed sitting on the wharf at the Far Bar, watching the lobster boats come and go. Looking forward to my next trip and stay.

We enjoyed staying at this property and on Southport Island. It was so nice to be able to walk across the street to Robinsons Wharf for dinner. We also like how close it was to Boothbay Harbor and all that it has to offer.

We really enjoyed our stay in Apt 2. The pictures and descriptions were accurate and our family had room to spread out. The WIFI worked great. The televisions, yes..there are 3!!!...had a great provider with anything you could want to watch. The location is fantastic. Close to things yet very quiet. Parking was easy and clearly marked. The grounds were beautiful. Couldn't ask for more, but bring your own beach towels as you don't want to use the few bath towels supplied. We were very happy with our stay.

Our family of 9 stayed in both units at Coveside the first week in August and had a wonderful stay. We had the prospective of staying there last year under the former owner and since then a complete renovation has taken place that transformed this home into a beautiful and comfortable rental. The locating at the entrance to Southport Island is perfect for access to Boothbay Harbor shops and cruises but also away from the hustle of downtown. Our host, Kim, went the extra mile in getting everything ready for our stay. Because of supplier and labor issues, finishing the remodel in time for our stay was a challenge. Our “hats off” to her for ensuring everything was ready. Additionally, the new kitchen in Unit #3 was perfect for those of us that love to cook and Robinson’s Wharf is just across the street when you want great seafood. We hope to return again next time we come back to Maine.
