Maricela was a wonderful host, welcoming us warmly despite our lack of Spanish. She cooked a delicious breakfast and even connected us with her brother Elvis, who organises fantastic tours in the Amazon. The pool was welcome relief after a hot day. The place was also exceptionally clean. I hope we can come back one day.

We chose Casa Amazilia to land after spending a week in a jungle lodge deeper in the Amazon. It was perfect. We were friendly welcomed, offered bananas any time of the day, there was fresh filtered water. It was not the most luxurious but our room had everything we needed and price-quality it was perfect. We liked the location as it was walking distance from both town center and airport so no need to take a taxi although to the town center a tuktuk is also possible as it's a little bit further. The house is located in a quiet dead end street and sometimes monkey pass by.
