Reaching the property was easy, even though it is located on a slope like most places in the area. Check-in was smooth, and the host welcomed us with a lovely gesture, leaving slices of local orange cake and olive oil on the table. The accommodation was extremely clean, with the housekeeping team coming in daily. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The views are absolute perfection and exactly as shown in the photos. Just a small heads-up regarding parking: be careful when maneuvering, as the steep slope can make passing oncoming cars a bit tricky.
The main downside was the sunbeds setup. We originally chose this place mainly for the private garden sunbeds shown in the listing, but since we stayed upstairs, our designated sunbeds were placed off to the side, right next to the ground-floor neighbors' balcony. The sunbed area itself was very small, and being separated from the neighbors only by a thin layer of plants made it uncomfortable for both sides due to the lack of privacy, so we ultimately decided not to use them at all. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection suffered occasionally and was not very stable during our stay.

My stay at Villa Stella Suites in Crete was truly exceptional. The apartment was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The attention to detail in the cleaning and services really stood out — you can feel how much care the hosts put into every corner of the suite. One of the highlights was the fantastic terrace, offering a breathtaking view over the Plakias Bay. Enjoying breakfast or a sunset there felt like a privilege. The bathroom was another pleasant surprise: modern, spacious, and featuring a wonderfully comfortable shower that added a touch of luxury to everyday routines.The location is perfect for anyone seeking peace and beauty. The area is very quiet, yet just a short drive from five stunning beaches:
Plakias
Souda
Damnoni
Ammoudi
Skinaria
Each beach has its own charm, making it easy to explore a different paradise every day. A must‑do experience is taking a boat from Plakias to Preveli Palm Beach. The journey is beautiful, and once there, walking up the river — with water shoes for the pebbles — surrounded by fresh water and lush palms is unforgettable. Returning to the beach through the path that winds between the palm trees feels like stepping into a tropical oasis.
Compliments to the hosts of Villa Stella Suites for creating such a welcoming, serene, and well‑curated place. It’s definitely a spot worth returning to.

Beautiful location with an amazing view, spotless apartment, and very welcoming hosts. The local recommendations were excellent, and the birthday surprise was a lovely touch. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
