Dass die Griechen sehr gastfreundlich sind, dürfte hinreichend bekannt sein. Manos und seine Frau bilden hier allerdings die absolute Spitze der Gastfreundschaft.
Nicht nur war der Kühlschrank reich gefüllt mit Getränken. Manos Frau hat extra für ihre Gäste Kuchen gebacken, der so saftig und lecker war, dass man tagelang davon essen konnte. Hinzu kamen frische Tomaten aus dem eigenen Garten.
Das Haus liegt in einer schönen Gegend mit tollem Ausblick von der großen Terrasse, mit vielen Pflanzen und Grillmöglichkeit. Alles ist stilvoll und durchdacht eingerichtet und blitzsauber. Die Küche ist bestens mit allen Utensilien ausgestattet und es gibt mehrere Klimaanlagen. Die hohen Decken verleihen den Innenräumen ein zusätzliches großzügiges Wohngefühl.
Perfekt ist auch der zugehörige Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Das Auto steht dort aufgrund des Daches aus Weinreben immer im Schatten.
Von hier aus kann man perfekt zu mehreren Orten starten. Z.B. die Westküste erkunden oder einen Abstecher nach Chania und Paleochora machen.
In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es 3 Tavernen. Die nahegelegenste haben wir genommen und für sehr gut befunden.
Am letzten Tag haben uns Manos und seine Frau noch verabschiedet und eine Flasche mit selbstgemachtem Olivenöl geschenkt.
Beide sind so unglaublich herzliche Menschen. Wenn wir wieder auf Kreta Urlaub machen, werden wir auf jeden Fall als erstes schauen, ob diese Unterkunft frei ist. Hier hat einfach alles gestimmt.
PS: und hier haben wir auch den besten Raki getrunken, den wir bisher probiert haben.

Una casa molto carina, aveva tutti i comfort che un appartamento può avere. Lavastoviglie, Aria Condizionata, Barbecue, Aspirapolvere erano presenti in casa, così come buste per riporre gli alimenti, olio, sale e origano. Al nostro arrivo alle 3 del mattino, abbiamo trovato frigorifero pieno, acqua, due dolci fatti dalla gentilissima signora e anche verdure dell’orto. Queste ultime sono state anche portate nuovamente durante la settimana. Signor Manos gentilissimo, abbiamo avuto un problema con acqua calda e subito l’ha riparato.
Tutto perfetto, forse l’unica cosa la tenda nel bagno che creava molta acqua per terra.

Tutto! Premetto che non sono solita a recensire. Abbiamo ricevuto un’accoglienza a dir poco commuovente, il signor manos e sua moglie ci hanno preparato una torta e fatto trovare il frigorifero pieno e dolcissima la loro nipote che ha un inglese ottimo …in tutta la mia vita da viaggiatrice, ho girato quasi tutto il mondo, ma quando posso torno a Creta per ricordi che mi legano ad essa e non ho mai ricevuto un’accoglienza anche solo lontanamente vicina alla loro. La casa è un oasi di pace nel piccolo paesino di Spilia, ma è una posizione strategica per le spiagge famose - è fornita di ogni cosa, la terrazza è meravigliosa e dal vivo rende di più che in foto, la pulizia è a livelli eccellenti! Ci torneremo sicuramente

I have never experienced such a warm welcome as here, well, except at my grand mother. Mr. Manos made from our arrival a wonderful experience. The refrigerator was fuller than at our house. But the best part for me was the nice friendly approach which made me feel welcomed. The house was comfortable and perfectly equipped. We especially loved its position in a super quiet village. We spent every morning and evening on the great terrace. A fantastic tavern is 2-3 min walk from the house. I wish we come back to the house again!
