Everything! It was beautiful, comfortable, clean, convenient - everything you want in a place to stay. The room was spacious, with comforts/conveniences like AC, espresso maker, laundry machine, a comfortable bed, etc. But the thing that makes this stand out as one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed: the location overlooking gardens, the surrounding mountains, the sea - it is profoundly peaceful yet you’re only a 10 min drive away from mountain villages or the coast. We never tired of admiring the garden of the family that owns Monopati - and of the effort and love poured into that garden, which is also reflected in the care and generosity received by Monopati’s guests. The family gave us a bowl of some of their fruits and vegetables as a welcome (as well as local honey and biscuits) and everything was delicious. They told us about the village spring we could get water from if we were interested: we were surprised at how much we enjoyed it, going once or twice a day, and miss the water already. We also happened to meet the other guests, lovely people who had stayed 10 days and were, like us, already thinking about a return visit. These were just some parts of the daily magic that we’ve never experienced elsewhere and made us appreciate the property and Ikaria itself so much. I want to gatekeep this place but they deserve every success, so I’m sharing the love. Monopati and Ikaria: thank you for a truly wonderful stay and I can’t wait to visit again!

We stayed for 11 nights and it was fabulous.
The apts are fantastic, the owner was very responsive and the family amazing. Make sure to ask for a catered dinner at their home!
The place was cleaned every few days and fresh fruit and vegetables from
the garden were left at our doorstep.
It was new and very clean and comfortable!

Die Aussicht ist fantastisch. Wir haben die Terrasse geliebt. Die Dusche ist auch super, und das Bett ist bequem. Super Waschmaschine. Nette Gastgeberin und nette Nachbarn. Wunderbarer Garten.
Etwas dünne Wände, man hört die anderen Hausbewohner wenn sie laut sprechen. Der Raum ist etwas eng. Die Küche dürfte besser ausgestattet sein.
