It was a cute house in a calm little village and the kitchen was very well equipped.
The pillows were very uncomfortable, as they were extremely large and hard. There were also no proper bed sheets, only a mattress cover, which made the bed feel less comfortable and welcoming.

Excellent location on the outskirts of Bayeux. Attractive apartment in a partially renovated building. Reasonable facilities.
The building renovation had been a little shambolically done. The internal doors didn't fit, and so it was almost impossible to get them to stay shut, causing privacy issues. The bathroom door lock didn't work, a shelf above the loo was tilting into the loo, causing a heavy glass bottle to fall into the loo when someone tried to get the door to catch. This caused damage to the toilet bowl. The TV didn't work, many items if crockery were ripped or broken, and nothing matched. There were only 4 of each type of cutlery (insufficient for cooking and eating a single meal) The barbecue was shared and despite a promise of coals and fuel, none was provided (we left a huge bag for the next family as we felt sorry for them) The hot water boiler was shrouded in a shower curtain in the bathroom and not in a custom built cupboard as you would expect. There were no wine glasses (just champagne flutes!) The parking area had a sudden drop off which shaped the underside of our car, which as it was electric, was a serious problem. The garden furniture was probably attractive once, but was now old and rusty, and insufficient fir two families to share. The owners tried to get us to pay for the damage to toilet, until I told them I had evidence of the wonky shelf and poorly fitting doors. They went quiet then. Such a shame, as it was a great location and a really fair price.
