The shower water temperature kept on changing. It would get cold all of sudden. Also, when it snowed a lot in Red River, it was difficult to drive out from the place. The driveway was too slippery and needed some sand or de icer salt on the ground. Also, if you have lots of luggage, second floor is definitely not recommended. There is only narrow stairway that takes you to the upstairs rooms.

I stayed in room 1 which does not look like the room in the photo. Pros: None Cons: Soundproofing Issues: The walls were so thin that I could hear everything happening in neighboring rooms, from intimate moments to conversations and television noise. Cramped Bathroom: The bathroom was tiny, measuring a mere 5' x 6'. Additionally, there was no bathroom fan, making it feel stuffy and uncomfortable. Inconvenient Mirror: The bathroom mirror was positioned at a height suitable for someone around 5 feet tall, rendering it practically unusable for taller individuals like myself. Lack of Hot Water and Water Pressure: With a 7:30am start to my day, I was met with no hot water or water pressure. I had to shower in the afternoon when other guests were away from the property. Disruptive Furnace Noise: Throughout the night, the furnace repeatedly shut off with a bang, reminiscent of a gunshot. This disruptive noise made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Opinion: This establishment falls far short of the standards expected from a hotel listed on reputable platforms like hotels.com. In fact, I question whether it even meets the basic requirements for lodging, even for resort employees. The $90 per night price is unjustified given the myriad of issues I encountered. I would strongly advise against staying here unless significant improvements are made.

Great place! The owner is not on premises but was very friendly and responsive. The exterior could definitely use some work but these owners said they've only had the place a few years so give them time. Driveway and access to walkways/steps were a bit icy. We managed fine but we saw another family helping an older person who was very unstable on the ice. Maybe throwing down some gravel would help. Inside, the place was very cozy and well-stocked with plates, dishware, etc. Bed was decent enough. Gave 4/5 eco stars for a Kureig machine (vs an actual coffee maker) but no huge deal there. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a terrific stay at Mountain View. I will stay there again. While there are no restaurants very close, they had a microwave and fridge in our room and that was so convenient. Clay was so very responsive to all my questions prior to arrival. Thank you Clay and Kris!

Had a very noisy family from TX next door no insulation or soundproofing between the room...kids kept trying the locked adjoining door till 10pm at night and began again at 6 the next morning

The detailed instruction was very helpful for our self-check-in. The room was clean, quiet and cozy. The heater & hot water were wonderful. Warmer greeting card, notes of wifi, blinder all made our stay at home. The property is outer town, and just few minutes' drive to ski lift. we definitely would love to come back.

The room served a purpose for a place to stay. There is no “office” but the owners are just a phone call away. It was a little cramped for me but that is no fault of the property or its owners. I’m a large fella at 6’, 225lbs. The shower and bathroom in general were a little snug for my liking, but it would not deter me from staying here again, just maybe a different room.

The room was clean and cute. The walls are paper thin. The room next to us had some young adults they were loud and rowdy til fairly late at night. The kitchen did not have a ventilation over the stove so when you cooked, the fire alarm would keep going off. I wasn’t familiar with the area, I would have preferred to have been closer to the ski area.

The room was perfect size, clean for the most part (we did see a couple rogue tomatoes by the couch), the staff left a sweet note welcoming us with waters and popcorn. Plenty of towels. Clean sheets. The only two things we didn’t particularly love was we could hear the neighbors next door very clear, what they were watching on tv, and even could hear them using the restroom. Also, it smelled like dog. But we needed a last minute place and were very grateful to have found this place. Very convenient to everything!

Check in was a little odd but after asking the housekeeper and inn keeper the owner was reached. It was a mild inconvenience but the staff was super friendly and got into the room. Very quaint. I even got a ride to see all the fall colors. The room was very quiet and bed bey comfortable.

Outside slightly from all the busy part of town. Only a 1 minute drive to town. There are aome stairs. Owners were both very nivand went out of their way to be kind. No contact check in and check out will be a plus for some folks. Nice place!

Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Nice views from windows - lodge name is appropriate! We also appreciated that it was pet friendly. But walls are thin and we could hear too much of conversations, television etc. from other guests.

The room was nice looking and there were snacks, water and a personal note awaiting us but the bed was rock hard and the couch in the room as well. We did not get a good night's sleep at all. I thought the check-in rather impersonal. I would not stay here again

Pictures make rooms look much bigger than in real life. My mountain view room, faced the street. If you want heat, you have to mess with a pilot light on the gas heater. You are also required to take out your own trash

Can't really say enough! Every detail thought of...felt like being welcomed home. Not possible to beat the price for what you get! Made me feel nostalgic for "good ole days" hospitality. Very clean and well kept. Property owner met us outside as we pulled up and was very friendly and courteous. The room was well furnished with what we needed and the property location was great. We would definitely stay there again if in Red River again.
