A painfully neglected creative accommodation in a beautiful and good location.
The location is good and the view of Tokaj from the end of the plot is also beautiful. The damaged glass took away a bit of the value of the view and the fact that the patio door could not be opened. They pulled a two-part sofa in front of us, but they didn't even give us the key. Maybe because of the broken glass, in any case it would have been more comfortable than walking around the house to the terrace. The neighbors were nice and we also got to know two blind kittens, who were more or less taken care of by the locals. The place and the idea are fantastic, but it's sad how much the owners don't take care of the place. With a little attention and regular cleaning, you could make a charming little place.
The dining chairs were piled up on the table in the corner, as if no one had been expecting guests for a long time. No one repaired and/or replaced the torn curtains. There are industrial lights on the ceiling, which are at least compensated by some floor lamps with a warm glow. Furniture drawers fall out, cupboards are dusty, people don't feel like packing them. The foot of the bed also looks like it is rotting. The mirrors in the bathroom are opalescent, like in a very old railway station or roadside rest stop, there is not a single normal mirror in the place. The floor is cold, especially where the containers are joined, at least this metal part could be aesthetically covered with something. The faucets and sinks were all scaled, including traces of use by previous guests for a few days (toothpaste, etc.), but also scale deposits that had built up on the faucet itself over the course of months. The toilet showed that it had not even been scrubbed with a brush, even though the accommodation justified the refusal of earlier arrival by saying that the cleaning was still in progress. The toilet paper holder wasn't wiped either, it was covered with fingerprints, stains and dirt. Maybe they vacuumed the floor, that was the cleaning. The entire surface of one of the sinks was covered with a layer of rust that hadn't been washed, which had dried up during cleaning, all kinds of grease and drink marks were visible on the walls, and the glass had palm prints and grease stains that usually form in a family house over a period of weeks. The floor next to our bed was dirty and the bed frame itself was extremely dusty with dead bugs etc. Even with the clean and fragrant bedding, going to bed here was repulsive. The accommodation said there was Wi-Fi, but in fact we found neither a router nor a network. The lady I contacted said it should work and stopped responding to my messages.
