Price was good. Friendly staff. Good restaurant. Seemed to be few other guests, so quiet. Close to the lake.
Upgraded room was poorly designed. Little storage room for clothes. Laundry very expensive. Road to hotel does not inspire confidence, but inside the hotel gate is quite nice.

We hadden een heerlijk verblijf in Rock Hyrax Hotel! We werden behandeld als koningen. Het voltallige personeel is enorm vriendelijk en attent. Mooie kamer (mooier dan de foto's) met heerlijk bed en kussens. En een hot shower die hier ook echt hot is (wat niet overal in Kenia het geval is). Prijs kwaliteit zeer goed!

Staff are very friendly and helpful
Unfortunately, when I book the room I didn't pay attention the standard room are not equipped with air condition which is basic requirements from the country I traveled from. I had to pay bit extra to get upgrade to the room with AC

We stayed here enroute from western Kenya to Nairobi. As a stopover, the hotel is in an ideal location, close to the main road to Nairobi, which made it convenient for an easy start to our onward journey.
I was a little disappointed with the comfort of the bed, the mattress was too hard and I would have preferred a softer pillow!
