The hosts.. Jolanda was so welcoming when we arrived and our stay was very relaxing. We would have been happy to stay longer here.
Our accommodation was very clean and cosy, and we enjoyed being able to watch a film after spending the last weeks travelling. A bit of home from home.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Great haven on my way north. All the little things thought of, very clean and the hospitality was exceptional. I made the comment some 5 star hotels don’t have the little extras - mint and green tea, chocolates, make up wipes. Great job. Thank you!

Location close to town. Breakfast excellent cooked by host for us and delivered to our room on agreed time
Car parking awkward

The hosts were very helpful and informative. Jolanda was very friendly. The facilities were fantastic. The breakfast was great. The room was nice and warm and well appointed. The BnB part of the Dux is very nice.
Unfortunately the location is not the best. Being on SH1 and near the main trunk line made quite a bit of road and rail noise. That is likely to be the same for all accommodation in Taihape. Stairs are quite narrow and steep so I do not recommend this place for people with limited mobility.
