Hotel Pilatus-Kulm

This Hotel has been "on our bucket list" for many years, so were pleased to finally fulfil our wish. The cog rail prepared us for the breath-taking views, and we were grateful for the staff to assist us with our luggage, and with my wife's difficulty in walking, putting us in the bottom carriage compartment so we could use the elevator at the top (not having to walk up the "loading"steps). The room was excellent & comfortable. The dinner & service in the Victoria Room was top quality, but sadly a limited menue choice.

As elderly travellers, it was some what exhausting taking our cases from the station to hotel: perhaps a courtesy trolley could be made available for our use? Disappointing the high quality hotel was open to the many day tourists and diners did NOT respect the high standard dinning room by wearing tee shirts and baseball hats! But obviously, we are old fashioned!!

Everything - scenery is absolutely stunning ; services from all staff are impressive welcoming and friendly; dinner and breakfast are gorgeous; the room view is amazing, everywhere are very clean

Well maintained, friendly and professional staff from reception to restaurant, location is perfect, the nearby trail is stunning! Helpful tip: If you carry large 29 inch suitcase like me, you can drop it off at the valley station of the cable car (the walking path from bus to get there is slopy) and they’ll transport it to the hotel reception for free. When u leave, you can carry the luggage with you in the cogwheel train at the front! Or they can also transport down for you. Very convenient!

I would appreciate if they provide bottled water in the room or a vending machine for late night snacks.
