The hosts - an elderly couple - were very nice, the kitchen (shared with 3 other rooms) was well equipped, and the rooms were tidy. It was at good price, though accommodation in Croatia definitely got more expensive in the past 3 years. Lovran is a good place to explore the eastern coast of Istria. There is a big Plodine right at the end of the road down at the seaside.
The apartman house is up on the hillside, it is only manageable by car.
