About this cottage rental

Situated in Saint Davids, this lovely cottage for $188 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Yewdale Cottage is a picturesque stone cottage - one of the oldest in St. David's - with beautiful views across the Cathedral and the ruined Bishop's Palace. St. David's is the smallest city in the UK, renowned for its spectacular coastal scenery, staggering cliffs, covered with flowers in May and June and nesting place for many varieties of birds. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path provides excellent walking round the peninsula. Numerous coves and harbours offer a wide range of activities, from boat trips to nearby Ramsey Island Bird Sanctuary, to diving, fishing and rock climbing. The beautiful, green flag beach at Whitesands provides excellent swimming and is overlooked by a nine-hole golf course. The sandy cove at Caerfai is only a mile away. A footpath opposite the cottage gives access in minutes to the Cathedral with its newly restored Cloisters and Refectory. The choir enjoys an international reputation and the Cathedral is a venue for regular concerts and recitals. From coasteering, surfing, inspiring hikes along the cliffs, wildlife-watching and fishing trips, to nearby woollen mills and top restaurants serving fresh seafood, St. David's offers everything you need for a wonderful holiday.

It is a pretty cottage in an excellent location. We did think that it needed a refurb in terms of furniture ,particularly in the lounge which is a little too quirky, particularly the sofas which felt damp and a bit grubby. The horses head skeleton on the landing is very unnerving for children (and some adults too).If you are looking for prime location with a lovely garden it will suit but the decor and furniture might not !

This is an absolutely lovely place to stay, extremely quirky with lots of character in the most peaceful setting, but in easily walkable distance to all the shops & places to eat & drink in St David's. The garden was a safe haven for our little dog & we went to sleep with just the sound of birds & the cathedral bells. We did manage to find free parking every day, but not always that close to the cottage, which wasn't ideal & my husband really struggled with the low beams & constantly banging his head. But, all in all this really is a special little cottage to stay in & we loved it.

We stayed at Yewdale Cottage which was fantastic, the location was nice and quiet with walking distance to the town, the cottage it self was full of character. on arrival the cottage was spotless clean with all the amenities for your stay. we were blessed with the beautiful weather which we took advantage of the garden for some lunch in the sun. I would highly recommend this cottage as it caters for everyone.
