I did not want to leave! Such a lovely, lush and interesting place. The family were wonderful hosts, leaving me feeling so taken care of. Was so relaxing to sit in the hot tub, float in the pool, lounge under the palm trees with a book, or explore all the nooks and crannies of the property.

Diane, Cord and their family were amazing hosts! The space they share with the public was created from a passion to share the history and beauty of the property with others. The property is scenic and beautiful with tons of space. Much to explore and admire. The breakfast had many choices for any kind of tastes. Some of the property is in construction but this did not take away from the charm, beauty and unique experience we had. We highly recommended this space.

Dianne who is an owner with her husband, and the person that welcomed me, as well as Andrew, their employee, were fantastic (friendly, kind and helpful). The house, which is big and magnificent, is a work in progress re. rehabilitation and they have done a lot to it since bought. It has beautiful nature all around and you can see the metropolitan area from up there. The house, however, feels funky and my room was stuffy, had a broken chair and I had to ask them late at night to do something about the mattress because aside from it being very hard, I could feel the spring wires. They took care of that. Dianne provides a very nine big breakfast free and you can order dinner from their paid menu. They recommend driving a 4-wheel because the road to the house is extremely steep!

Went with my daughters toward the end of our “girls only” trip to PR. Loved our stay at the hacienda and hope to come back one day soon! We had to change our reservation to one night from two and that was my only regret. The owners were incredibly welcoming and the on-site staff all as well! We checked in and didn’t leave until check out. I think the hardest part is adjusting to the fact that this is truly a laid back experience and you can actually relax. We stayed for the dinner offered there made in house and it was delicious. Can’t say enough good things about this place & the view is gorgeous! They are in process of renovating (patio area/driveway) so there are some projects not yet completed (reason for four stars in that category) but hope to come back and see the progress. Thank you both for your hospitality and all the welcoming vibes!

We had a great stay! The hosts are amazing and very helpful. Food was also very good. The hacienda is a work in progress and you can see the hosts love this aspect of their work. It would be nice to have more to do in the immediate area, including on the property.

Very peaceful stay at HMS. Service was excellent, Dianne and her husband went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was very spacious and we were very comfortable with our 2 year old son.

If you are up for a little adventure in the mountains and want to decompress, Montana Soñadoras is your spot. The location is convenient to all major attractions. The drive up the mountain is definitely adventurous and once you arrive to the place, there is a steep driveway so a 4x4 is HIGHLY recommended. Diane, Cordell (the owners) and staff are super welcoming and make you feel right at home. Upon your arrival, you get a brief history of the property. The ground itself is beautiful and the view is just simply amazing. Breakfast is served daily with fresh fruits from the grounds. The best mangoes and passion fruits were our top favorite. We highly recommend this place. Everything was clean and perfect. Diane and Cordell are literally a text away and are super accommodating to say the least. A place to definitely revisit with our girls! Thank you for making our stay such a pleasant one. We left super decompressed and happy from our stay there.

Beautiful historic property that has been open less than a couple of years as a B&B. Still working out kinks but a nice stay. The hacienda itself is amazing and the owners are super accommodating. Terrific food. Amazing pool area. There are some things to know. At this time, WiFi and tv are extremely spotty and mostly not usable. Drive in and out is not easy so would recommend asking about that before booking a rental car. The hacienda is about 30 mins from anything so be prepared to travel to get to town. The owners are great about driving guests around for a fee but it is a trip up and down the mountain. Very remote and beautiful area. Had a nice stay.

We stayed here for a week . The couple who run the place are so sweet and so are the rest of the staff. It’s a very nice private property with beautiful mountain View’s, lots of space to lounge and relax. The rooms were big and spacious.Definitely felt luxurious!!

the owner is an extremely sensitive person, they have problems with their neighbors at the entrance and the guests sometimes have to realize it, the entrance is extremely included in a mountain and it is dangerous to take a car that does not have a 4x4, the owner had to drive my car to be able to get it out onto the road and on all three occasions, my life was in danger, on one occasion we almost went into a precipice that is on one side of the road, on another occasion the car tails because it has front brakes, It was a sports mustang, and the owner was annoyed that I was driving that type of car and I replied that if he set the conditions for the entrance to his hotel, I might not even have booked it. It was stressful and it was calling the owners so he could get the car down the slope. The entrance is horrible, the room had cockroaches and they bit my right arm and left leg when I was asleep.

We went to spend our 15 years wedding anniversary. It was perfect!!! Just what we wanted and need it. The place it self is a work in progress and we loved that, that we got to be part of that!!... We've been all over the world and stayed in nice places with VIP treatment... here you'll be treated as family... Dianne and husband we love you!!

We loved the home, pool, and surroundings! It was a completely easy place to relax and connect with other guests / staff. It was nice to be at a location that wasn't packed with hundreds of guests. There are less than 10 guest rooms (or so), and it never felt over-crowded anywhere on the grounds. Dianne and Cordell (owners) have put a a great deal of their heart and soul into bringing this property back to life. The house / property has a long, rich, history and is stunning. I love all the bright colors! We really enjoyed meeting Fiona from the staff, and the local guide / Intro to Scuba class instructor, Sam. The dinners were truly amazing!! If you stay here and rent a car, get a four-wheel drive if possible as the driveway is very steep. It is nice to have your own vehicle for the freedom it allows - this is high in the mountain and there aren't Uber drivers that can come get you. However, you don't have to have a car because they will work with you on transportation (for a fair price). We told them that the internet info forgot to mention that there is a roller coaster ride included - going up/down the driveway! For us, we spent two days in town/touring with Sam & two days sitting by the pool, visiting with other guests, and relaxing - we enjoyed every minute of that time. Overall, we really, really loved our visit and wish the family the very best in their endeavor at Hacienda Montana Sonadora!

My best friend and I stayed at the HMS for a 3 night girls’ trip in June of 2023 and had a great time. Diane and Cordell were excellent hosts!! The property is a very large, old home that they have been working tirelessly to restore and maintain since purchasing it 2 years ago. It’s located in the mountains, up a curvy road about 30 minutes from San Juan. The property is lush with all kinds of tropical plants/trees. They serve coconuts, passion fruit, papayas and avocados grown right on the property! The meals provided were delicious. The beds were comfy and our room was very clean. We enjoyed relaxing poolside. This is not a generic Hilton or Marriott. It’s a place is loaded with character run by people who are passionate about their work. Thank you Diane and Cordell!!

We stayed for three nights as a family of four. It was the perfect place to slow down. The scenes are stunning and food was amazing. It’s a work in progress but we are fully invested in the transition. It was such a unique opportunity and the property has such a fascinating history. So glad we stayed!

The owners and staff are amazing people. They bend over backwards to make your stay as pleasant as possible and are always a text message away. Be prepared for an adventurous ride to the top of the mountain that the resort sits on, and book the rainforest tour with Sam if you are athletically inclined and able to scale some pretty steep rocks. The dinner menu varies nightly and is always fantastic, breakfast is terrific and free, and the lunch menu has something for everyone. The history of the place as well as the scenery and company can't be beat. We can't wait to return and see how much more of the property has been restored.

I truly cannot say anything bad about our experience! The owners and staff at the Hacienda Montaña Sonadora are absolutely amazing and the location couldn’t be more perfect! From the time my husband and I arrived until the time we left, we felt like family…They went out of their way to make sure that we had what we needed. For my birthday, I was greeted in song at dinner with a tasty dessert! My husband and I relaxed, reflected and felt refreshed after leaving the Hacienda Montaña Sonadora! It was just what we needed…and so much more! We can’t wait to visit again.

Place to relax, unwind, surrounded by the natural beauty of the mountain. Main campus is fine, they can easily expand and renovate other parts, but it's fine as is. Diane and Cordell are there for you to make your stay pleasant and safe.

Wow!! What an amazing stay! My wife and I have been to Puerto Rico many times and by far this stay has been the best! The entire staff was amazing, talk about hospitality at its finest. The owners not only take pride in there Hacienda but they enjoy sharing the historic years that are behind this beautiful and extravagant get away! The food was great, the backdrop is amazing and hospitality was on point. We are definitely coming back. Keep up the great job! We give it Six Stars!

We had a fantastic time at the Hacienda Montana Sonadora! Rather than stay in a crowded San Juan hotel or resort, we chose something out of the ordinary and were not disappointed. Most days we had the pool to ourselves and ate most of our meals here. The city and the beaches are only a quick drive away and we spent time there as well, but it was great to return to the peacefulness of the pool and hot tub at night. Dianne and Cord are super cool and amazing hosts! Dianne even got a cake for my husbands birthday. The staff members - Isabel, Brady, and Deven- are really nice and fun, as well as great cooks and bartenders. Highly Recommend! We can't wait to go back!

This was a very special place with a lot of character! Plenty of space in the bedroom and the property as well. The view from the balconies/patios were really pretty. It was a very quiet place and at night the coqui's will sing you to sleep. The owners and the staff were amazing. Anything we needed they were there for us and very accomodating. We stayed a few nights in for dinner and drinks which were fanastic im ususally very frugal with money and these dinner's were well worth staying in for. There is a nice pool and hot tub/pool as well. We did not swim in the pool but we did utilize the hot tub at night with a view of the stars. It was very nice that they did not put a limit to pool/tub hours so we could enjoy whenever we wanted. My only complaint is having coffee available earlier than breakfast time, however im sure if I would of asked they would have accomodated me. Breakfast was cooked every morning and it was a full breakfast, not just muffins and fruits. I just tried to run with vacation/island mode lol. Already planning on coming back and bringing family! Thank you to everyone at HMS!
