We were given a very friendly reception. Despite mentioning renovations I saw no disruption. Having stayed in hostels before everything was to our expectations.

- Smelly toilets.
- Some of the guests are long staying -- does not give a backpackers vibe.
- Some guests are strange folks --- there was a stabbing incident (inside the hostel, between guests), with police coming, arresting, and all this jazz.
- People coming and going out of the room deep after midnight
- Think I got bed bugs stings
