Great location - literally just off Spaccanapoli, and if you walk down the road the other way it takes you to a main road towards Via Toledo… could walk to most sights in Napoli!
But the best thing about La Storia is the owner, Danila, who was an absolute gem. She showed up in person on the night we checked-in to make sure we were fine, and had ensured the pantry was well-stocked for breakfast, including eggs milk yogurt… she provided great suggestions about local places to eat, and was extremely helpful with organising transport for day trips etc
She even remembered which day my dad’s birthday was, when I mentioned it on check in, and delivered a couple of fresh chocolate croissants!
The property itself was very comfortable and clean, enough space for 4 if needed - a double bed, separate single bed and comfortable sofa downstairs, with a downstairs shower/toilet. Cute kitchenette
Not much to not like; by nature of the property being a “Bassi” ie street-level apartment in Centro Storico, it is a bit dark, but Danila has multiple well-positioned sensor lights throughout the apartment to overcome this

Location was great - centrally placed for station and main parts of Naples.
Danila was super responsive and helpful throughout the stay. She couldn’t do enough to help us and make sure our stay was good. Almost like having our own concierge - she even booked our taxi for return to airport so that it turned up at the door and took us there on fixed tariff. She and her mum were both really lovely.
Some people seem to have commented on noise in street. It is true there is some moped noise and also some chatter from next door but, you are in middle of residential district and the noise seems to magically stop at about 10:45 every night. It isn’t really an issue but if you want silence then maybe go to a sound proofed hotel but you will miss out on residential Naples.

The property was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here.
At times, the power went out and we had to find the breaker box to turn it back on because the electrical system is easily overloaded. The other issue was if you don’t have Instagram, it’s hard to get the list of recommended restaurants if there’s a way to send those to folks that don’t have that that would be appreciated. But we found everything in the area wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay.

We could smell a slight dampness in the property. Shower was small. Couch was uncomfortable.
