Independence Stay Hotel and Long term suites

The room was well appointed and had the features that I expect from a suites type of property.

There was an issue on the billing. I was told at check in that there were 2 Booking.com reservations. Booking.com told me, when I looked it up, that there was just one. Nonetheless, the hotel insisted that night that I had two Booking.com reservations. When I checked out, I was charged for two rooms. I learned that I had made one with Booking.com and once directly. The hotel did not lose business since it was not full. However, they insisted on charging for both rooms. I contacted the manager on this afterwards. I was told that the hotel attempted to contact me on this. I related that I was in the backwoods without regular communication, so I did not see the hotel messages until after my stay. I wanted some consideration, while seeing that they wanted to have full payment. It would have been nice to pay for only one room.
