Guest House simple, familial où on se sent tout de suite bien

Bungalow calme, face à la mer, entouré d'un joli jardin. Personnel accueillant, sympathique et prévenant. Très bon restaurant. Ambiance cool. Quasiment pas de moustiques. Transfert aller et retour au débarcadère gratuit mais attention arrivez bien à Soon Nueng et ayez internet pour prévenir par WA. Idéal pour un petit séjour ou une retraite loin du monde. Boutique à 20mn par la plage. Literie confortable.

Baignade possible à marée haute, mais peu de fond. wIfi seulement au restaurant mais on s'en accommode et on peut acheter une carte SIM sur place.

Überbucht, überteuert, runter gekommen, fauler Geruch im Zimmer

Nichts

Wie der Name schon sagt, liegt die Unterkunft in den Mangroven. Das heißt, dass es keinen Strand gibt und das Wasser in diesem Bereich der Bucht braun ist. Die erste Nacht haben wir, wie auch 5 weitere Reisende wegen Überbuchung kein Zimmer bekommen trotz bestätigter Buchung. Wir wurden aufgefordert uns wo anders selber ein Zimmer zu suchen. Das ist einfach nur dreist. Bei 5 Überbuchungen kann man nicht von Zufall sprechen. Die Bungalows sind maßlos überteuert. Die Betten sind durchgelegen und im Zimmer riecht es faulig nach Abwasser. Eine funktionierende Duschhalterung ist nicht vorhanden und das Wasser kommt aus allen Dichtungen wenn man die Dusche anstellt. Der Weg zu den Bungalows führt an haufenweise Müll und Dreck vorbei.

Les Bungalow sont spartiates, mais correct, stricte nécessaire ! Douche à l’eau froide. Attention Deux bungalows sur 15 on la vue sur la mer ! Les autres sur les mangroves où fleurissent des sacs plastiques ! P S : Wifi que dans la salle de restaurant

Pourquoi les Clients ne disent pas la vérité !!! les photos font rêver mais la réalité n’est pas la même ! Plus que rudimentaire ! Nous avons payé 150 dollars les 3 nuits ! Beaucoup trop cher, nous avions qu’une envie , de partir ! ! On rêvait d’un bungalow sur la mer, voila la vue de notre chambre ! ( voir photo ) C’est un endroit magnifique qui est mal exploité, négligé, laissé à l’abandon, jamais nettoyé ! Des détritus partout , des sacs plastiques tout le long des mangroves, , n’attendez pas qu’on vous fasse les chambres !! L’endroit de rêve se trouve de l’autre côté de l’île à 1 h15 ( tranquille ) de marche : lazy beach, le plus beau spot de l’île !

Worth a visit

This place is unbelievable, lay on a hammock in the mangroves looking out at the ocean or lay on a hammock on the beach or if you want you could lay in your private hammock on your porch. I loved my time here! The staff were nice and helpful

Not that I didn't like the boat shuttle, but I just wish I knew about it. make sure you read your messages after you book so you can get dropped and the right pier and get picked up by the hotel boat. A mosquito net is only a mosquito net if it is a net that stops mosquitos... otherwise, it is just a pointless net with holes in. The food was a big one for me, some things were good but others were just terrible, the pancake was a monstrosity but on the other hand the tomato soup was delicious.

Un super moment dans un lieu authentique

L’endroit est très calme et nous laisse apprécier l’ambiance sonore de l’île. La vue est magnifique, la deco est simple mais très jolie. Et le personnel est très accueillant et très sympathique. Nous avons passé un super moment.

Juste la propreté des draps, c’était moyen au niveau de l’hygiène. Mais cela est courant au Cambodge.

La struttura si trova alla fine di una lunga serie. Quindi decisamente tranquilla. Forse troppo

La posizione fa si che per raggiungere le altre strutture e i servizi base ci si deve recare a piedi via spiaggia ma sono molto distanti e non esiste illuminazione dopo il tramonto. Quindi torcia del telefono se non è completamente scarico. All’andata per via di un po’ di onda ci sono venuti a prendere con un trattorino e rimorchio per 12.5$ al ritorno avrebbero dovuto accompagnarci con la loro barca ma non so è mai accesa. Abbiamo dunque dovuto camminare via spiaggia per 50 minuti con gli zaini alle 5 del mattino

Not worth the money

The sea climate and enjoying the evenings outside on the bungalow's terrace

No comfort at all. Limited electricity and water supply. All the facility looks like old and has not been upgraded. This place needs an urgent renovation and investment. The location does not seem guest friendly. Cleaning service did not exist. For a stay of 4 nights you would expect to be provided with basic hygiene supplements, such as toilet paper and new towels. No one checked our rubbish or cleaned the bathroom. Rotten sunbeds and the sunbathing spots were in very bad shape.

Great place to re-charge and have fun!

Loved my stay here! - Had my own bungalow for a good price. Working shower, fan and mozzy net. Perfect views and a great opportunity to live with a actually Cambodian Family! So welcoming! Shout out to Sam, Pa & Rim ✌️

Lack of cleaning :(

We really enjoyed talking with our hosts, they helped us with booking transport and were nice to talk with. There are snorkel sets, a few books and board games available at the common area, and the restaurant was tasty and had reasonable prices. It is a really chilled place, far from the noise. Good point to make a walk to the lighthouse and the lazy beach.

For this price, the conditions provided made me feel uncomfortable. Mosquitos were getting inside the bed, despite the mosquito net provided. You can find dust, larvae, insect eggs, ants in the room and bathroom. I understand it is a a simple bungalow, but seems like no one cleaned it before our arrival. There was also some dirt on the bedsheets.

Lovely staff, absolutely wanted to help with everything you needed. Fixed bus tickets for us when we could not. Nice food as well! One of the cheaper options on the island but high quality.

just go. it’s amazing. I recommend getting the boat taxi from the ferry though as the walk all along the beach is brutal. they sorted us out with a boat taxi on the way back though. it’s away from the main resorts and bars so it’s quite and nice and dark so you can see the plankton glow in the ocean at night. amazing. staff super nice and cooked great bbq style food

A little quiet haven basic but peaceful and very beautiful views.

Peaceful place to spend a few days. About 20 to 30 minutes walk along the beach to busier area. Which suited us well. Great food at the bar at reasonable prices. Gabrielle was friendly and welcoming. It is great to have some local wildlife around, frogs, geckos, birds , butterflies. Unfortunately the place is under threat to close due to a big development, which is really sad. Fingers crossed, they are able to stay its a family run place, not a multi chain..

amazing staff, had great conversation, they even prepared some decorations for our honeymoon, the food is also great and there is plenty of spaces to relax directly at the beach

keep in mind that you check the pier of your ferry as the bungalows are on one particular end of the beach

I love this place, the location is amazing, the staff were really lovely, the food is good in the restaurent, yes the rooms were basic, but what more do you need when you are in paradise...I will be back :)

It is a nice family run hotel and it is the family that makes it so good. It is quiet and peaceful. They organised the boat ticket and picked me up with a boat that met me from the pier as well as dropping me off on my return. If you forget things they will get from the mainland. Just ask and they will do their best

Great place

This is a khmer run place and that makes it all the more special. The young man running the place speaks great English. The food is cheaper than anywhere else you'll find on the island. We were upgraded to a bungalow on arrival which was very kind of them! Lovely location not far from the ferry (they tell you which company to go with) also it is the starting point for the lighthouse hike. There are lots of vegetarian options on the menu!

Relaxing stay with friendly staff 💛

Great place to stay if you want to relax on Koh Rong Sanloem! It’s ran by a local family, if you want a more authentic Cambodian experience this is the perfect place to stay. It’s located on Saracen Bay so easily accessible to other places to eat and visit if you fancy exploring, but away from crazy tourists and overly commercialised resorts. The staff were all amazing and super friendly, helpful and loved to chat :) They organised a snorkelling trip for us, transport to and from the island and a train from Sihanoukville which made travelling so easy. Our accommodation was comfortable with a beautiful sea view and the food was excellent!

Just something to be aware of is the electricity isn’t turned on all day, which means wifi is only on when electricity is on. It made working remotely a little more tricky so I would recommend making sure you have a good SIM card before coming out here if you require internet connection throughout the day :)
