With its glorious sweep of soft, golden sand, Filey beach is one of the best in the country for families; it’s so huge that, no matter how busy it gets, it’s never crowded! The beach is the perfect place to take a walk, fly a kite, build a sandcastle, snooze in a deckchair, or maybe do a spot of birdwatching on Filey Brigg and the town centre offers a plethora of tea rooms, restaurants and pubs as well as a host of convenience stores and independent shops. Further up the coast are the bustling harbour towns of Bridlington and Scarborough. Enjoy a day visiting RSPB Bempton Cliffs or head off inland and enjoy the unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds.
