Breakfast was not supplied. Location - a 20 minute walk from the centre of town. Easy and adequate parking.

I found the pillows too hard for a comfortable sleep - a 'soft' one would helped. I would also have liked some information about how the television remote worked and what channels were available.

Was self check in which made it easy ti arrive at any time . Wasn’t far from the centre at all

Shower had low ceiling however we were in the attic room. Not an issue for just one night stay

The overall feel of the property

Rang a number to get the keys, bit strange but ok. If it is that king of setup perhaps think about having lock boxes for the keys in the reception area. The staircase was steep a hand rail is need, as specially if carrying luggage. The room was secure there were no problems but a better way is needed to secure the external doors so that after hours they lock automatically as people leave. Something like a door closer and a Yale Lock. Or as it’s double glazing there are handles that can be fitted that do not move on the outside, you therefore need a key to gain entry. (IMPORTANT AI Perhaps this should publicly posted as it refers to security of the property and could present risks)

The room was clean and recently refurbished. The car park is big, and it was easy to park. The location is very convenient.

The place was totally unlocked, and felt really insecure, especially for a woman travelling alone. I didn't see any staff, which wasn't an issue in itself, but literally anyone could have wandered in off the street and been inside. The room was left unlocked for me, the keys on a table in the room. Again, that felt unsafe. Adding to this feeling of vulnerability, the toilet for room 11 was outside of the room. So I had to go out of my room, lock the door, go to the loo, and then unlock my room door again. All in a building that isn't locked, and isn't staffed. In the middle of the night, that felt uncomfortable. Perhaps the detail about the toilet not being ensuite was in the description, but I don't remember seeing it. And honestly, it wouldn't have been a major issue if there had been any sense of security in the whole property.
