Absolutely everything was fantastic. Everything a hotel room would have, plus everything a real home would have, and all was spotless and beautifully cared for. Quiet, comfortable; my new go to place in Dunedin!

This is a fantastic place to stay, in one of Dunedin's well-kept old houses. The location is excellent, just up the hill from the city centre, and there is a great view from the front of the property. All the common areas, bathrooms and bedroom were super clean, and the place felt really relaxed and peaceful. The kitchen was also well stocked with a variety of food and drink for breakfast, plus a full range of cooking equipment and utensils if you wish to make your own meals. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm next in Dunedin.

The building is one of the grand old Dunedin houses with sweeping views down on the city and harbour. Although still a little tired-looking on the outside, the interior has been beautifully restored, and the hosts have managed to create a tasteful, comfortable, trust-based hotel/lodging house. My room though small was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with a basin, tv, fully equipped kitchenette, table & chairs, comfortable bed, interesting artwork. The heater and lights had been left on to make a warm welcome on a chilly Dunedin afternoon. Breakfast supplies and organic fruit are left out for guests in the big shared kitchens, and unlike many places where signage is usually to tell you what you MUST or ARE FORBIDDEN TO do, the messages all seemed to be telling you what you were welcome to do.
The steep drive with tight turn at the top is a bit of a challenge for a heavily laden motorbike, so worth inspecting on foot first! Not a word of criticism otherwise.
