The restaurant meal was great, the room was lovely, the pool was amazing, the chateau and grounds were beautiful.
Loosing sleep having to listen to dreadful music from the wedding party in the building opposite which is apparently owned by others until 04:00 in the morning!
The room had a broken toilet seat, broken tiles in the sinks, and a broken heater unit.
We had to ask for the pool to be opened in the morning as it wasn't open when it should have been.
There were wasps all over the cakes at breakfast, which was very average anyway.
Had to ask 4 times for water at our dinner...
I asked for the owner to contact me about a reduction because of all this, and they haven't bothered yet.

The location is beautifully quiet and the property is very picturesque. The lady serving drinks and bar food in the evening (Sandra?) was very friendly and helpful, she is a credit to the establishment.
The bathroom had a distinct drain smell and it was impossible to take a normal shower without the floor becoming flooded, the designer must never have seen a bathroom before. It was disappointing to learn at short notice that the restaurant was closed on the day we stayed, maybe I should have checked more carefully but it wasn't obvious to me that only bar snacks are served on such occasions. That said, the bar meal was excellent and the wine superb.
