The view of Chiemsee Lake from our room was amazing. The grassy front lawn area by the lake was very relaxing with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The variety of food choices for breakfast was plentiful and the coffee was excellent. Our dinner at Restaurant Kitz was also delicious. There was plenty of seating inside and outside for all meals.
Parking was an absolute nightmare. Too many guests and not enough parking spaces. Our hotel reservation specifically stated “1 parking spot” was included. When questioned about the lack of parking, the hotel staff said they cannot control who parks in their lot and that people from the Yacht Club and other events nearby sometimes take up parking spaces at the hotel. Seems to me that would be easy to enforce. If there is no hotel parking permit placed on your dashboard, then your car gets towed or ticketed. We were instructed to place the parking permit provided to us on our dashboard which we did. It seems the parking issue could be easily fixed, it just needs to be enforced.

Check-in and check-out were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is very relaxing with a lovely lakefront lawn and pretty views. Free transit pass was a nice perk. Room was clean and comfortable. Room cleaning staff were very friendly. Ms Bluthner served us drinks one afternoon, and she was very kind.
Breakfast room staff seemed inexperienced and otherwise largely absent.

Great location and beautiful hotel on the water, fantastic breakfast with a lot of vegan options including vegan cheese, yogurt, oat milk & cold sliced vegan meat staff at breakfast were very nice and helpful
Booking was made for 2 rooms and 3 people that included breakfast I had email confirmation but when checking in was told that the booking was changed to 2 rooms 2 people and we would have to pay for the extra breakfast, I at no time had changed the booking and the price had not changed but front end staff did not want to honour the original confirmation I have contacted booking.com will see what happens other than that very nice place, last negative that even with all windows shut cigarette smoke somehow was entering our room from guests smoking on balcony below our room
