Comfortable, clean, small hotel with a pretty garden and friendly, accommodating staff. We were expecting a room with city or garden view, but were offered a large basement room facing a hedge. Fortunately the staff changed us without question to a 1st floor room, smaller but with a balcony and much more open aspect. Plenty of free on-street parking very nearby.
The location. The nearest metro stop was a 15 minute, not-very-appealing walk away. We expected a bus to Lyon centre from outside the hotel as mentioned in reviews, but the receptionist advised us to take the metro.

The breakfast was delicious- lots of options and high quality! The location is somewhat limiting if you want to get into the fun busy parts of the city, but we walked into town to the main food market, refuelled on oysters and Macon Ville and then did the final 15 minutes. And we got a 15 min taxi back which was so easy. And in fact we were pleased to be out of the hustle and bustle!
Breakfast was quite busy with lots of things everywhere and not much room to put things down! But it was completely manageable.
