Everything about my stay was utterly perfect!! Niki welcomed me warmly and showed me to my beautiful room, she made me feel at home from the moment I arrived till the moment I reluctantly left. The breakfast was fresh, interesting and delicious. Great coffee!

Beautiful and tastefully renovated with such friendly atmosphere. Perfectly delish breakfast. Lovely lounge area with cozy fire place and hospitality bar for evening drinks.

Breakfast was excellent, as expected .. There was WiFi but no TV in the room .. The bed was very comfortable and there was an air conditioner. and spare blanket with Tea and coffee replaced every day.
There should have been a TV in the room and a table and chair to sit at and write .. No cupboard, and we found the room a bit small .. for the price we paid .. We do understand that the Lodge has shortly been upgraded and refurbished but
had not been completed. My opinion is that our accommodation was overpriced Also there was no-one to receive us at the reception and the front door were both locked. Towels were not replaced daily

Location is great!
We booked 2 rooms. In general I will recommend more blankets or an electric blanket for the winter, 1 blanket is not enough. Also some electrical leads so that you don’t have to take the kettle to the floor to get to an electrical plug.
Room 2 has a complete see-through door with no blinds in front. It also has an inside door to the rest of a house with no key to lock the door which meant random people were opening the door at 9.30 pm in the evening. Both these are security and privacy issues and unacceptable at this price range.
The owner was not on the property when we checked out so we were unable to communicate this to her on the day of check-out.
