Central apartment up one floor from ground floor about 25 stairs on the staircase nice bright entrance this apartment is in a separate building from the main hotel it overlooks the local church it is a one minute walk to nice reataurants all restaurants in the old town can be reached on foot within ten minutes and there are many high quality restaurants in the old town which is a busy tourist place we enjoyed every restaurant we went to over ten days.The beach we walked to in about ten minutes but its a very long straight beach so youcould walk much further the beach bar we liked took us 25 minutes to walk to , a nice walk along the promenade.Right outside the apartment is a nice clean cafe it serves very good coffee squeezed orange juice and various breakfast items and snacks , all the cafes restaurants and bars we went to give you free a bottle of water with glasses containing ice . The apartment has three rooms a bathroom with shower , loo , washhand basin washing machine.The main living area has a kitchen at one end with fridge cooker table and chairs and at the other end two single beds and glass doors leading to the veranda rhe main room is about 8 metres long and four wide the veranda four metres long it has a drying screen and a table and chairs. There is q chemist and a corner shop within a minute walk go right as you leave the building. The taxi drivers Yannis arrnfed for us arriving and leaving were very nice , interesting people and their driving was comfortable and safe we liked that. The bedroom is about 4 metres x 4 metres a double bed decent storage and also has a glass door to the veranda. Aircon in the main room and one in the bedroom too both were very efficient the cost of use was included in the room price which was very nice too. Yannis is a gentleman , a nice warm person very knowledgeable , his generosity is outstanding as has been described by many reviewers you will like him. This is more than a hol apartmnt you could live here full time.

Fantastic location, especially as I was only able to stay one night. This gave me the ability to enjoy Rethymno more efficiently!

Some elements feel a bit outdated but everything you need is there and everything was very clean! The older elements are part of the charm.

EVERYTHING!! Right from Yannis’ wonderful communication before during and after it set the scene for a beautifully friendly and extremely comfortable stay. The apartment provides EVERYTHING you could need. Yannis recommendations were spot on: a nice beach in walking distance for a swim, a great location Charlie Chaplin (HAPPY HOUR - 50% off all alcoholic beverages between 7-8pm), an absolute MUST DO - Parastratima (Yannis even made our reservation for us so that we didn’t miss out. The food, service and setting is DELICIOUS). Then the Olive Tree for an after dinner drink to just sit, relax and enjoy watching people wander by. Yannis’ consideration for his guests truly goes above and beyond - his assistance with car parking, his incredibly generous hospitality (soooooo many thoughtful acts/gifts) and his genuine interest in sharing interesting information about his area is fantastic. Do yourself a favour and book here!
