There is a museum of the Karolyi as well, and when I was there was a temporary exhibition on costumes, and, on the other evening of the conference, a concert in the chapel of the palace.
The palace itself is a great architectural creation as well.
The room I had, under the roof, was big, with beautiful thematic rose drawings on the walls.
It was very warm.
The wifi did not work well at the begin, due to the thick walls I was told, but later on it went OK.

Very clean air and one of the most beautiful landscapes of Hungary in fall (Bakony). On the way back to Budapest I had to change in Bodajk being Sunday so that I will stop longer for the basilica another time and I saw on the map that there is also a Karolyi viewpoint.
The restaurant is excellent and one can also purchase a cooking book on the recipes of the Karolyi then and now.
I have visited the palace back in 2018, shortly after renovation and now there is more furniture, for example also in the restaurant.
There was no body lotion in the bath.

Great dinner & breakfast, very peaceful, tranquility at its best. Friendly staff, unique setting, off the beaten path. Visiting the lake & extensive trails around in the castle grounds is a must - would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from crowds. Will return
No air-conditioning however the ground floor thick walls kept the room fairly cool.
