With only four rooms, the atmosphere with the hosts and other guests is truly special. The joint breakfast is delicious, and Nicky and Mark always offer great tips for hikes, restaurants, and everything else you might need. The rooms are very clean and spacious, furnished with many thoughtful touches. Drinks are available at the communal bar at very reasonable prices. The surroundings are wonderfully peaceful. A perfect stay that stands out from other hotels.

The guest house is exceptional. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and helped with recommendations of places to visit. The breakfast was continental in style is fresh and ample. The accommodation is charming, has bags of local character and very relaxing. Overall a wonderful stay. We will be visiting again in the near future.
We couldn't fault Landhouse Fay or the hosts. Great venue and lovely people.

The owner was quite friendly and eager to ensure a pleasant stay. We enjoyed the decor and the coziness of the room.
As vegetarians we made do, but would have enjoyed a few more breakfast options. The bathroom had an accordion door which perhaps didn’t offer as much of a sound buffer. The recently serviced TV wouldn’t connect (however not crucial for us).

We really appreciated the hosts – they were very welcoming, friendly, and gave us a lot of useful local tips, so one star definitely goes to them. Another star goes to cleanliness – the room was spotless. And the location is great as well.
However, the overall experience still felt a bit disappointing for the price. Although everything was clean, the facilities are quite old. The bed especially felt unstable, to the point that we worried it might collapse when moving. The WiFi was also very slow.
Another thing that really affected our stay were the strict house rules. No eating is allowed in the room, and there is no kitchen or microwave available, so every time we wanted a snack, it became inconvenient. When we ate in the common area, the host would often come to chat. I understand they were being friendly, but to have a bit more privacy we opted to eat out more often.
